The surge places ICP among the day’s top-performing altcoins, with price rebounding from a recent seven-day low and retesting a key mid-February supply zone.

Under the plan:
- 80% of cloud engine revenue would go to node providers
- 20% would be used to buy and burn ICP tokens
This structure ties supply reduction directly to network usage. As demand for Internet Computer’s cloud services increases, more tokens would be removed from circulation.
The shift also moves the network away from fixed subsidies and toward performance-based incentives a model similar to other cloud-compute blockchain platforms.
