The Blockchain Group known as Europe’s first Bitcoin Treasury Company and already listed on Euronext Growth Paris is gearing up for a big move across the Atlantic. The company is in the final stages of securing a secondary listing on the US OTCID market, giving it fresh visibility among American investors.
The OTCID platform offers a regulated and transparent way for international businesses to tap into US capital markets, without the complexities of a traditional US exchange listing. It’s the same market where giants like Air France KLM, Nestlé, and Intesa Sanpaolo already trade.
Importantly, this isn’t about raising new money or issuing new shares. Instead, The Blockchain Group will make its existing Euronext Growth Paris shares available in the US, where they’ll trade in US dollars. Market makers will handle transactions to ensure liquidity and smooth settlements in line with US trading standards.
Alexandre Laizet, Deputy CEO and Director of Bitcoin Strategy, sees the listing as a crucial step in expanding the company’s footprint:
“Our listing on the US OTCID market reflects the Company’s commitment to expand its global presence and accelerate its Bitcoin Treasury Company strategy, focused on increasing the number of bitcoin per share on a fully diluted basis over time, through enhanced liquidity and accessibility for our international investors.”
This push into the US comes as The Blockchain Group continues to bulk up its Bitcoin holdings. Just days ago, the company added another 116 BTC to its treasury. These purchases are funded through strategic capital raises, part of its plan to steadily grow its Bitcoin stash and solidify its leadership in the Bitcoin treasury space.
As it stands, The Blockchain Group and its Luxembourg subsidiary together hold 1,904 BTC, acquired at a total cost of €172 million. That works out to an average entry price of about €90,332 per BTC. While that’s only around 1.12% of the company’s ambitious goal to amass 170,000 BTC by 2032, it’s a significant start.
And so far, the Bitcoin bet appears to be paying off: the company has reported a striking year-to-date Bitcoin yield of roughly 1,349%.
