BNB (Binance Coin) is facing a critical moment after confirming a bearish double-top pattern on its charts, even as major listings on Robinhood and Coinbase bring renewed investor attention. The question now is whether this fresh wave of visibility can reverse the token’s recent downtrend.
BNB Faces Pressure Despite New Listings
BNB has shed over 20% from its all-time high of $1,369.99 reached on October 13, slipping 8% in the past week alone. At the time of writing, the token was trading near $1,087, having recovered about 2% following its recent exchange listings.
In a significant milestone for accessibility, Robinhood listed BNB on October 22, giving millions of retail investors in the U.S. exposure to the token for the first time. The next day, Coinbase the country’s largest crypto exchange followed suit, further boosting BNB’s visibility and credibility among global traders.
Listings on top-tier platforms like these often trigger renewed community enthusiasm, improved liquidity, and a stronger brand narrative, positioning BNB for potential long-term gains once broader market sentiment turns favorable.
Adding to the ecosystem momentum, decentralized prediction market Polymarket announced its expansion to the BNB Chain, a move expected to reduce transaction costs, improve efficiency, and attract more liquidity to the network’s decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem.
Short-Term Outlook Still Bearish
Despite the bullish headlines, technical indicators suggest that BNB’s price action remains tilted to the bearish side at least in the near term.
On the 4-hour chart, BNB has confirmed a textbook double-top pattern, a bearish reversal structure that often signals the start of a deeper correction. The two peaks, formed near the $1,351 mark, were both met with strong selling pressure, indicating buyer exhaustion.
The neckline of the pattern sits at $1,087, which is also where BNB is currently trading, leaving the token highly susceptible to volatility.
If the pattern plays out, a decisive breakdown below this neckline could trigger a drop toward $1,037, aligning with the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement level. Further weakness could send BNB tumbling toward $824, representing a 24% downside from current levels.
Indicators Hint at Possible Relief Rally
While the broader setup looks bearish, momentum indicators suggest that some short-term relief may be on the horizon.
The MACD line recently crossed above the signal line an early sign of potential bullish momentum while the Relative Strength Index (RSI) has climbed above 50, hinting that buyers are slowly regaining control.
Meanwhile, if BNB bulls manage to push the price above $1,111 where the 50-day simple moving average (SMA) currently lies it could invalidate the bearish setup and spark a move toward $1,150, a key psychological resistance level.
“BNB’s short-term structure is fragile, but momentum signals are improving,” noted one technical analyst. “If exchange inflows slow and buyers step in near $1,080, we could see an early reversal attempt.”
The Bigger Picture
BNB’s near-term trajectory remains uncertain as macroeconomic headwinds weigh on crypto markets. However, new exchange listings, ecosystem expansions, and growing U.S. exposure may ultimately build a strong foundation for recovery once risk appetite returns.
While traders eye the $1,037 support and $1,111 resistance levels closely, long-term investors may see the current consolidation as an opportunity to accumulate especially if Robinhood and Coinbase listings drive new retail participation in the coming weeks.
