Pump.fun is once again under heavy scrutiny after fresh on-chain activity pointed to massive USDC transfers linked to the team. According to blockchain analytics shared on Nov. 24 by EmberCN, over $400 million in USDC moved through Kraken, sparking renewed debate about the project’s financial transparency.
Over $400 Million in USDC Identified in New Transfers
EmberCN reports that Pump.fun wallets sent approximately 405 million USDC to Kraken, followed shortly after by 466 million USDC flowing from Kraken to Circle likely a redemption. The amounts closely match the size of the funds the project reportedly raised in June during its private placement round.
During that raise, institutions bought PUMP at $0.004 per token, purchasing nearly 180 billion tokens, or 18% of the total 1 trillion supply, giving Pump.fun roughly $720 million in capital before public access was even opened.
Community members have long argued that such heavy institutional involvement created an uneven playing field. Later analysis showed insiders controlled around 55% of the supply at launch, a level critics say distorted early price action and undermined buyback efforts.
Pump.fun’s Revenue High, But Platform Activity Is Slowing
Despite the controversy, Pump.fun has generated massive revenue through its token factory. Data from Dune Analytics shows the platform has earned over $908 million since launch.
But signals of declining activity are becoming clearer:
- Daily active wallets have dropped to below 100,000
- Out of 10,000+ new tokens created in the last 24 hours, only 86 “graduated”
- Competition from platforms like DegenSafe.fun and four.meme is increasing
The downturn has been blamed on both market conditions and stiff competition from new meme-token creation providers that offer improved incentives and fewer bot-related issues.
Pump.fun rolled out “Mayhem Mode” to highlight stronger projects, but bot activity has limited its effectiveness.
Legal Troubles Add More Pressure
Pump.fun’s challenges extend beyond market performance. Multiple class-action lawsuits have been filed in New York, accusing the project and its affiliates of:
- Selling unregistered tokens
- Misleading users about potential returns
- Opaque token allocation and vesting terms
The combination of regulatory pressure and market skepticism has fueled further volatility.
Price Outlook: Analysts Expect More Declines
As of the latest data, PUMP is trading at $0.002643, down 35% in the past month. Analysts at CoinCodex expect the token to continue falling, potentially reaching $0.001929 by Dec. 23. That forecast is driven by:
- Negative market sentiment
- High volatility
- An “Extreme Fear” score of 13 on the Fear & Greed Index
With significant insider holdings, fundraising controversies, high USDC outflows, and growing competition, Pump.fun faces increasing pressure from both the community and regulators.
