Digital asset investment products have surged to a new all-time high, fueled by recent price gains and sustained investor interest especially in Ethereum.
According to CoinShares’ latest weekly report, crypto investment products saw $1.04 billion in inflows over the past week, marking the 12th consecutive week of positive flows. Total net inflows for the year so far have climbed to $16.3 billion, perfectly matching the weekly average for 2025.
Alongside steady inflows, rising crypto prices pushed total assets under management (AuM) to a record $188 billion, edging past the previous peak of $187.5 billion.
Bitcoin continued to dominate the inflows, attracting $790 million last week. However, that figure represents a sharp drop from the prior three weeks, when Bitcoin averaged around $1.5 billion in weekly inflows.
James Butterfill, Head of Research at CoinShares, pointed out that investors appear to be treading more cautiously as Bitcoin inches closer to its previous all-time highs.
“The moderation in inflows suggests that investors are becoming more cautious as Bitcoin approaches its all-time high price levels,” Butterfill said.
At the same time, Ethereum has been quietly gaining favor among investors. Last week marked Ethereum’s 11th consecutive week of inflows, totaling $226 million. According to CoinShares, Ethereum’s weekly inflows accounted for 1.6% of total assets under management double the 0.8% contribution from Bitcoin.
Butterfill sees this as a significant sign of shifting sentiment: “It’s clear investors are starting to warm up to Ethereum while maintaining a more cautious stance on Bitcoin.”
Regionally, the United States led the charge with $1 billion in inflows last week. Germany and Switzerland also posted gains, with inflows of $38.5 million and $33.7 million, respectively. Meanwhile, Canada and Sweden saw outflows of $29.3 million and $19.2 million.
Other markets like Hong Kong and Brazil recorded smaller outflows of $3 million and $9.7 million, respectively.
The evolving patterns suggest that while Bitcoin remains the heavyweight in crypto investments, investors are increasingly diversifying into Ethereum and keeping a close eye on shifting market dynamics.
