Singapore-based Tazapay, a fast-growing cross-border payments platform, has raised fresh funding from Ripple and Circle Ventures, positioning itself as a bridge between traditional finance and stablecoin-powered transactions.
Series B Backed by Global Heavyweights
Announced on August 27, Tazapay’s Series B funding round attracted major global investors, including Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia Capital India & SEA), Ripple (U.S.), Circle Ventures, Norinchukin Capital (Japan), and GMO VenturePartners (Japan). Existing backers January Capital and ARC180 also participated.
The amount raised wasn’t disclosed, but Peak XV led the round, highlighting strong institutional confidence in Tazapay’s growth trajectory.
Bridging Fiat and Stablecoins
Ripple and Circle’s participation signals how critical Tazapay has become in connecting fiat-based payments with blockchain infrastructure. Ripple, the company behind the XRP Ledger, and Circle, issuer of USD Coin (USDC), are expected to help Tazapay expand its fiat-to-stablecoin settlement rails, particularly in emerging markets where digital asset adoption is rising fastest.
Tazapay already processes more than $10 billion in annual payment volume and is growing at a staggering 300% year-over-year. Its platform covers a wide range of payment options, including cards, alternative payment methods, virtual accounts, payouts, and stablecoin settlements.
Expanding Global Licensing Footprint
Armed with new funding, Tazapay is preparing to expand its regulatory footprint. The company already holds licenses in Singapore, Canada, and the EU, but now plans to pursue approvals in the U.S., UAE, Hong Kong, and Australia. It also intends to apply for a Singapore Digital Payment Token license, strengthening its position as a regulated player in stablecoin settlement.
In addition, partnerships with Japanese investors like GMO VenturePartners and Norinchukin Capital are expected to accelerate Tazapay’s entry into Japan, one of Asia’s most mature financial markets.

Founded in 2020, Tazapay has quickly built a reputation as a trusted platform for B2B marketplaces, multinational corporations, and fintech firms. Having already reached operational breakeven, the company is now well-positioned to scale further with the support of Ripple and Circle.
