Bitmine Immersion Technologies has significantly expanded its Ethereum treasury, pushing total ETH holdings to a new high of 4.326 million tokens after executing a major buying spree during a period of heightened market volatility.
The company disclosed that its Ethereum stash now represents roughly 3.6% of ETH’s circulating supply, positioning Bitmine as the largest known corporate holder of Ethereum. When combined with its Bitcoin reserves and cash holdings, Bitmine’s total crypto and cash assets are valued at approximately $10 billion.
$83 million ETH purchase signals conviction
Fresh on-chain data flagged by Lookonchain shows that Bitmine added 40,000 ETH in a single day, worth about $83.4 million at current prices.
According to the data, the firm purchased 20,000 ETH valued at approximately $42.3 million from BitGo, following an earlier acquisition of the same size. The rapid succession of buys highlights Bitmine’s aggressive accumulation strategy despite ongoing uncertainty across crypto markets.
“Bitmine has been steadily buying Ethereum, as we view this pullback as attractive given the strengthening fundamentals,” said Tom Lee, executive chairman of Bitmine. “In our view, the price of ETH does not reflect its high utility or its role as the future of finance.”
Staking anchors Bitmine’s long-term strategy
Bitmine revealed that nearly 2.9 million ETH from its total holdings are currently staked, generating yield through the company’s expanding Ethereum infrastructure operations. The firm emphasized that its Ethereum strategy is focused on long-term value creation rather than short-term price movements.
Lee described the recent market pullback as an opportunity, pointing to Ethereum’s historical tendency to recover strongly after deep drawdowns. He also highlighted staking yields as a meaningful additional return stream, particularly during periods of sideways price action.
Institutional interest remains strong despite volatility
Ethereum has struggled to regain upside momentum amid broader risk-off sentiment across crypto markets. Still, Bitmine’s continued accumulation underscores growing institutional confidence in Ethereum as a treasury asset.
As volatility persists, Bitmine’s strategy signals a belief that Ethereum’s utility, staking economics, and role in the global financial system will drive long-term value, even if near-term price action remains uneven.
