Decentralized AI protocol 0G Labs has officially launched its Aristotle mainnet and held a Token Generation Event (TGE) for its native token, 0G, in a bid to reshape the relationship between AI and crypto.
Aristotle Mainnet Goes Live
Launched on September 22, the Aristotle mainnet is now fully operational after months of testing on the Galileo Testnet, where it exceeded performance benchmarks. From day one, it comes with support from a wide range of ecosystem players, including validators, DeFi protocols, and developer platforms.
The infrastructure includes indexing tools, SDKs, RPC services, and enhanced security, making it ready for global AI-powered applications. Impressively, the network is capable of processing around 11,000 transactions per second.
The launch is backed by more than 100 ecosystem partners, including Chainlink, Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, Coinbase Wallet, Binance Wallet, MetaMask, and others showing just how broad its industry support is.
0G Token Listings
Alongside the mainnet launch, the 0G token has already made its way onto several major exchanges, including Binance, Kraken, Upbit, and HashKey.
Michael Heinrich, CEO and co-founder of 0G Labs, said the mission is to ensure AI remains open and accessible:
“Together, we are building the first AI chain with a complete modular decentralized operating system, ensuring AI is not locked away in Big Tech silos but made available as a resource for everyone.”
Funding and Vision
So far, 0G Labs has raised $35 million in equity funding, while the 0G Foundation has raised an additional $30 million through AI node and token sales. The project’s core ambition is to combine decentralized storage, compute, and data availability into a Layer-1 blockchain designed for verifiable AI execution.
By creating an open AI-native economy, 0G aims to bridge the gap between advanced machine intelligence and decentralized finance.
Market Reaction: AI Sector Still Dips
Despite the hype, the broader AI and crypto sector has not rallied following the mainnet launch. According to CoinGecko, the overall sector fell 2.5% in the past 24 hours, bringing its total market cap to $32.19 billion.
- AI Agents: down nearly 6% to $5.7 billion.
- AI Applications: down 2.4%.
This suggests that while 0G’s launch is a milestone for decentralized AI, it wasn’t enough to offset wider market weakness.
