Financial giant State Street Corporation has significantly expanded its investment in Strive Asset Management, increasing its exposure by roughly 770% as institutional interest in Bitcoin treasury companies continues to grow.
The move comes as Strive aggressively expands its Bitcoin holdings and positions itself among the largest public corporate Bitcoin owners in the market.
State Street buys nearly 1 million Strive shares
According to recent filings, State Street purchased close to 1 million shares of Strive’s publicly traded ASST stock in a deal valued at approximately $17.7 million.
The investment lifts State Street’s total stake in the company to nearly one million shares, now estimated to be worth close to $20 million based on current market prices.
The announcement further strengthened investor attention around Strive’s Bitcoin-focused corporate strategy. Following the news, ASST shares moved slightly higher in premarket trading after previously gaining more than 5% during the latest trading session.
The growing institutional interest also follows earlier investments from Vanguard Group, which had already established a sizable position in the firm.
Strive continues expanding Bitcoin treasury
Strive has increasingly tied its corporate growth strategy to Bitcoin accumulation.
Recent company filings revealed that the firm purchased an additional 382 BTC between May 13 and May 18 at an average price of approximately $79,348 per Bitcoin, excluding fees and transaction costs.
Following the latest acquisition, Strive’s corporate treasury now holds roughly 15,391 BTC. That places the company among the world’s largest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holders and brings it close to the holdings of Hut 8.
The company also disclosed holding approximately $87.3 million in cash and cash equivalents as of May 18.
SATA preferred stock fuels more Bitcoin buying
Another major driver behind investor interest is Strive’s SATA preferred stock program.
The company recently introduced daily dividend payments connected to the preferred shares, while directing proceeds from those sales toward additional Bitcoin purchases. This structure has helped position Strive as one of the more aggressive Bitcoin treasury plays in public markets.
Regulatory filings further showed that Strive holds nearly $49.8 million worth of Variable Rate Series A Preferred Stock issued by Strategy.
In addition, the company confirmed:
- Around 63.66 million Class A common shares outstanding
- Roughly 9.87 million Class B shares
- Sale of approximately 5.24 million shares tied to the SATA offering
Analysts raise ASST price targets
Wall Street analysts have also become increasingly bullish on Strive’s growth potential as its Bitcoin reserves continue expanding.
Investment bank TD Cowen recently raised its price target on ASST shares to $30, citing the company’s growing Bitcoin treasury.
Meanwhile, H. C. Wainwright & Co. lifted its own target to $38 as Strive continued scaling its Bitcoin-focused strategy.
The company was founded by Vivek Ramaswamy and has increasingly positioned itself alongside firms that treat Bitcoin as a long-term treasury reserve asset rather than a passive investment.
Why investors are watching Strive closely
Strive’s strategy reflects a growing trend among corporations using Bitcoin as part of their balance sheet and long-term capital allocation strategy.
As institutional ownership rises and Bitcoin treasury models gain traction, investors are closely watching whether continued BTC accumulation can support both shareholder value and long-term stock performance.
For now, the combination of aggressive Bitcoin purchases, institutional backing, and expanding treasury exposure continues to keep Strive at the center of investor attention.
