MeshWallet has raised $10 million in a private funding round to expand its gasless USDT wallet built on the TRON network.
The Tallinn-based company plans to use the fresh capital to develop new features, grow its user ecosystem and expand services for both individual users and businesses.
MeshWallet’s main selling point is simple: users can send TRC20 USDT without having to keep a separate balance of TRX just to cover blockchain transaction fees.
Instead, transaction costs are handled inside the wallet and presented to users in USDT.
MeshWallet Raises $10M From Private Investors
According to MeshWallet, the funding round was backed by a group of private investors and small family offices.
The company said the capital will support product development and help expand its ecosystem as demand for stablecoin payments continues to grow.
MeshWallet is focused specifically on USDT transfers over TRON rather than trying to support a large number of blockchains and tokens.
That strategy targets one of the most active stablecoin networks in the market.
TRON processed around $2.1 trillion in USDT transfers during the second quarter of 2026, according to Messari data cited by crypto.news.
At the end of the quarter, USDT supply on TRON stood at approximately $87.9 billion and represented 98.5% of the blockchain’s total stablecoin supply.
MeshWallet Removes the Need to Hold TRX
Normally, users sending TRC20 USDT on TRON need enough network resources or TRX to cover transaction costs.
This can create friction for users who have enough USDT to complete a payment but do not have any TRX available for gas fees.
MeshWallet aims to remove that extra step.
Users can hold, send and receive TRC20 USDT without manually purchasing TRX for transaction fees.
However, a gasless transaction does not mean that the blockchain transaction itself is free.
The underlying network cost still exists. MeshWallet simply manages that fee process on behalf of users and allows the cost to be settled through USDT.
This creates a simpler experience for people who primarily use stablecoins and do not want to manage an additional token purely for fees.
Wallet Targets Both Retail and Business Users
MeshWallet says its service is designed for casual users as well as people who regularly transfer stablecoins.
That includes users making payments, trading, moving funds between services or sending USDT to friends and family.
Businesses are another major target.
Companies using TRON-based USDT payments normally need to maintain a separate TRX balance to ensure they can cover transaction fees.
MeshWallet says its approach allows businesses to keep both the payment amount and fee management centered around USDT.
For companies, this could simplify accounting by reducing the need to track an additional cryptocurrency solely for network expenses.
The company also believes this structure could make onboarding easier for businesses that want to accept or send stablecoin payments.
TRON Provides a Large USDT Payment Market
MeshWallet is entering a market where TRON already processes a significant amount of stablecoin activity.
The blockchain crossed 15 billion total transactions in August 2026, with daily activity exceeding 12.5 million transactions at the time.
USDT accounted for a large share of that activity.
On the day covered by the report, TRON recorded around 2.55 million USDT transfers worth approximately $28.1 billion.
The network held roughly $90.28 billion worth of USDT across more than 75.37 million accounts.
This large base of stablecoin activity gives MeshWallet a sizeable audience of users who may benefit from a simplified fee experience.
MeshWallet Uses a Self-Custodial Model
MeshWallet operates as a self-custodial wallet.
That means users retain control of their private keys instead of having them stored by MeshWallet on a centralized server.
Self-custody has become an increasingly important feature as wallet companies expand beyond basic storage into payments, trading and other financial services.
MeshWallet also says its codebase is open source.
The company stated that two independent security audits are currently underway.
It has also pointed users toward its Trustpilot profile as another resource for reviewing its service.
Stablecoin Wallets Are Becoming Easier to Use
MeshWallet is part of a broader effort across the crypto wallet industry to simplify onchain payments.
A common problem with stablecoin transfers is that users may hold enough USDT or USDC for a payment but still lack the native blockchain token needed to pay the transaction fee.
Wallet developers have been experimenting with different methods to hide or simplify this process.
These approaches can include fee delegation, subsidies and other transaction structures that remove the need for users to manually hold the network’s native token.
MeshWallet is applying this idea specifically to TRON-based USDT payments.
Rather than building a multi-chain wallet with hundreds of supported assets, it is concentrating on reducing friction around one of the most heavily used stablecoin payment networks.
TRON Remains a Major Network for USDT
TRON’s USDT activity continued growing during the second quarter of 2026.
Messari data showed that average daily USDT transfer volume reached approximately $22.8 billion, representing a 4.3% increase from the previous quarter.
TRON accounted for around 47.6% of tracked USDT supply at the end of June.
Its total stablecoin market capitalization reached a record $89.2 billion during the quarter before USDT circulation climbed above $90 billion in July.
Network fees also remained substantial.
TRON generated approximately $699.4 million in network fees during the second quarter, up 15.9% from the previous quarter.
Even when wallets make transaction fees less visible to users, those costs still exist at the underlying blockchain level.
Direct Stablecoin Transfers Dominate TRON Activity
TRON has also become particularly important for direct stablecoin payments between users.
CoinDesk Research data cited in August showed that around 93% of stablecoin transfer volume on TRON involved transfers directly between addresses rather than interactions with decentralized applications or protocols.
Smaller-value payments represented a significant portion of this activity as well.
The same research found that TRON handled around 52% of transfers below $1,000 across blockchains supporting native Tether issuance during the second quarter.
This type of activity aligns closely with MeshWallet’s focus on simplifying direct USDT payments.
MeshWallet Funding Arrives as U.S. Crypto Rules Remain Uncertain
MeshWallet announced its funding round as lawmakers in the United States continue debating digital asset market structure legislation.
The company referenced the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act as one potential framework that could provide clearer rules for digital assets.
However, the legislation has not completed the congressional process.
The Senate Banking Committee advanced the CLARITY Act by a 15-9 vote in May.
A procedural vote in the Senate on September 15 later failed to secure the 60 votes required to move the legislation forward.
As a result, further congressional action remains uncertain.
Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott said after the vote that regulators, including the Securities and Exchange Commission and Commodity Futures Trading Commission, should continue working on digital asset rules while Congress considers its next steps.
MeshWallet Plans More Features After Funding Round
MeshWallet says the newly raised $10 million will help fund continued product development and additional wallet features.
The company has not yet provided a full roadmap detailing every service that will be introduced.
For now, its strategy remains focused on making TRC20 USDT transfers easier for users who would otherwise need to acquire and manage TRX to cover transaction costs.
With TRON handling billions of dollars in daily stablecoin transfers, MeshWallet is targeting a practical problem faced by both retail users and businesses using USDT for payments.
The MeshWallet application is currently available through both Google Play and Apple’s App Store.
