JustLend DAO, the decentralized lending platform built on the TRON network, has officially launched its long-awaited JST Buyback and Burn Program starting off with a massive 559.9 million JST token burn. The move has sparked optimism among traders that the token’s long bearish trend may finally be turning around.
A 559.9M Token Burn Funded by Real Revenue
On October 21, JustLend DAO confirmed the execution of its first-ever buyback and burn, using 30% of its total revenue to reduce circulating supply. The DAO spent roughly 17.73 million USDT (out of its $59.15 million total revenue) to buy back and permanently burn 559.89 million JST, accounting for about 5.66% of the token’s total supply.
All transactions were executed transparently on-chain underscoring JustLend’s commitment to decentralization and open financial governance.
The Remaining Funds Will Power Future Buybacks
The DAO has earmarked the remaining 70% of its revenue (approximately 41.42 million USDT) for future quarterly buybacks and burns through Q4 2026.
These funds will be allocated to JustLend’s SBM > USDT market, where the generated yields will continue fueling the JST burn program over time. This approach aims to maintain consistent deflationary pressure on JST while rewarding long-term holders.
Technical Outlook: Is JST Ready to Reverse?
From a technical standpoint, JST price action is beginning to show the first signs of life after months of decline.
The token recently bounced off the lower boundary of a descending channel, forming its first higher low a potential early signal of trend reversal. It’s currently testing resistance near $0.034, the upper trendline of that channel.
If JST can close and hold above the $0.0345–$0.0350 zone, analysts suggest the next upside target could be $0.043, which represents a +25% potential move from the breakout area.
This setup follows several failed reversal attempts earlier in the year, including a double-bottom pattern in mid-August that didn’t hold. However, this time, on-chain data and strong fundamentals from the burn initiative could give JST the momentum it needs.
A Turning Point for JST and TRON’s DeFi Ecosystem
The buyback-and-burn program positions JustLend DAO among a growing list of DeFi protocols using revenue-driven token burns to reward holders and enhance long-term value.
For the TRON ecosystem, it highlights an expanding commitment to transparency, sustainability, and real yield generation a narrative that continues to attract institutional and retail attention alike.
In summary:
- 🔥 559.9M JST burned (≈5.66% of supply)
- 💰 17.73M USDT used from DAO revenue
- 📈 Future buybacks planned through Q4 2026
- ⚡ Breakout zone: $0.0345–$0.0350 with upside target near $0.043
With real on-chain burns, transparent financial operations, and a clear roadmap for deflation, JustLend DAO’s JST token could finally be setting the stage for a sustainable recovery.
