Ondo Finance has taken a major leap toward bridging traditional and digital finance by acquiring Oasis Pro, a U.S.-based digital asset broker-dealer. The acquisition, announced on October 6, transfers a full suite of SEC and FINRA licenses to Ondo, giving the company the in-house regulatory framework to operate fully compliant markets for tokenized securities in the United States.
A Strategic Move Toward Regulated Tokenization
Oasis Pro, founded in 2019, has built a solid reputation as one of the few U.S. platforms licensed to settle trades in both fiat currency and stablecoins. Through its Alternative Trading System (ATS), the firm enables trading across multiple asset classes while ensuring compliance with U.S. securities regulations. Oasis Pro has also played an active role in shaping crypto policy discussions, notably as a member of FINRA’s Crypto Working Group.
By bringing Oasis Pro’s infrastructure and licenses under its umbrella, Ondo Finance gains a powerful regulatory advantage. The acquisition includes broker-dealer, ATS, and transfer agent registrations, giving Ondo a rare end-to-end setup that few other tokenization firms possess.
Unlocking New Opportunities in Real-World Assets
For Ondo, this move builds on its growing momentum in the real-world asset (RWA) space. Earlier this year, the company launched tokenized U.S. Treasury products, which quickly attracted institutional investors and pushed Ondo’s assets under management (AUM) above $1.6 billion.
Now, with the addition of Oasis Pro, Ondo plans to expand beyond Treasuries into a much wider range of financial products. The company can now facilitate private placements, underwriting, and secondary trading for both tokenized and traditional assets including equities, corporate debt, structured products, and REITs.
