YZi Labs has made one of its largest strategic investments of 2025, leading a $50 million funding round in Better Payment Network (BPN) a project building a programmable global payment layer centered on stablecoins.
The investment reinforces YZi Labs’ commitment to developing real-world blockchain infrastructure and expanding the BNB Chain ecosystem with scalable, efficient payment solutions.
Building Global Payment Rails with Stablecoins
Announced on October 16, the funding aims to help BPN expand its multi-stablecoin infrastructure and liquidity systems on BNB Chain, creating faster, cheaper, and more accessible cross-border settlements for institutions and users worldwide.
BPN’s platform is designed to mint, swap, and settle fiat-backed stablecoins in real time across different jurisdictions.
By combining centralized (CeFi) and decentralized (DeFi) financial systems, BPN’s hybrid model — dubbed CeDeFi rails — seeks to reduce cross-border payment fees by over 90% and shorten settlement times from days to hours.
The network already supports several regional stablecoins, including:
- BBRL (Brazil)
- cNGN (Nigeria)
- MEXAS (Mexico)
- EURI (Europe)
These integrations help businesses and financial institutions move funds quickly, securely, and at a fraction of traditional banking costs.
“Our vision is to make stablecoins the universal standard for trust and settlement,” said Rica Fu, founder of Better Payment Network. “We’re creating a framework where financial institutions and merchants can interact seamlessly on-chain.”
Expanding BNB Chain’s Global Payment Ecosystem
YZi Labs said its investment will be used to boost liquidity pools, build stablecoin corridors, and establish a market-making system to maintain fair and efficient exchange rates across multiple regions.
BPN’s dual-layer model includes:
- A CeFi layer, serving licensed institutions and enterprises with compliant infrastructure.
- A DeFi layer, launching later this year, which will enable permissionless trading and liquidity farming for users worldwide.
This structure bridges the gap between regulated finance and open blockchain innovation a core component of YZi Labs’ long-term strategy to position stablecoins as the foundation of global digital commerce.
By early 2026, BPN plans to integrate up to 20 regional stablecoins from Asia, Africa, and Latin America, further expanding its role as a global payment enabler.
A Strategic Move Aligned With YZi Labs’ Vision
The investment aligns with YZi Labs’ broader mission to scale practical blockchain applications across the BNB Chain ecosystem.
The firm, which manages over $10 billion in assets, has been among the most active investors in 2025, supporting projects that connect crypto infrastructure with traditional finance.
Earlier this month, YZi Labs:
- Launched a $1 billion BNB Builder Fund to support early-stage blockchain startups.
- Partnered with China Renaissance to develop a $600 million BNB-focused investment vehicle.
This latest move with BPN underscores YZi Labs’ focus on stablecoin adoption, financial inclusion, and real-world use cases bringing blockchain technology closer to mainstream global payments.
“BPN represents the next evolution of programmable money,” said a YZi Labs spokesperson. “Our investment will help accelerate the transition toward faster, borderless, and more transparent financial systems built on BNB Chain.”
Outlook: Stablecoins as the Backbone of Cross-Border Finance
With growing institutional demand for compliant digital payment rails, projects like BPN are increasingly seen as key infrastructure for the next phase of global fintech innovation.
YZi Labs’ $50 million investment signals strong confidence in the future of stablecoin-driven payment systems and marks another major step toward building a programmable, borderless economy powered by blockchain technology.
