MoonPay is deepening its ties with one of the world’s largest self-custody wallets. In a multi-year strategic partnership, the payments provider will become the default on- and off-ramp service for Trust Wallet, serving over 200 million users worldwide starting with the U.S.
From Early Partnership to Default Provider
The collaboration builds on a relationship that began in 2020, when Trust Wallet first integrated MoonPay’s on-ramp services. Off-ramp capabilities followed in early 2023, letting users sell crypto directly from the app.
Now, under the new two-year deal announced on August 14, MoonPay will exclusively power Trust Wallet’s “Buy Crypto” function for U.S. customers, before rolling out to more markets over time.
Making Crypto Transactions Seamless
Both companies say the goal is to make buying and selling crypto as simple as possible for users everywhere. MoonPay’s infrastructure spans 190+ countries, supporting multiple fiat currencies and local payment methods.
The integration brings in-app checkout for both purchases and sales, cutting down on extra steps and making the process smoother for millions of Trust Wallet users.
“This is more than just an integration it’s a strategic alignment between two major forces in the crypto industry,” said MoonPay CEO Ivan Soto-Wright.
Trust Wallet CEO Eowyn Chen added that MoonPay’s infrastructure will “bring smoother transactions and more payment options” to their global user base.
Part of MoonPay’s Bigger Expansion Push
The Trust Wallet deal comes on the heels of several big moves for MoonPay:
- Partnering with Mastercard to launch stablecoin-powered payment cards
- Securing a New York BitLicense, enabling operations across all 50 U.S. states
- Earning a spot on CNBC’s 2025 Disruptor 50 list as the only crypto-native company featured
- Expanding wallet integrations, including TRON (TRX), Tether (USDT), and the upcoming Rumble Wallet
- Adding new payment methods such as Revolut Pay, Apple Pay balance top-ups, and instant PayPal funding
The new Trust Wallet integration is already live for U.S. customers, with global expansion planned over the partnership’s duration.
