While most crypto investment products saw capital heading for the exits last week, XRP quietly attracted fresh money.
According to the latest weekly flow data from CoinShares, XRP-linked products recorded approximately $3.5 million in net inflows, even as the broader crypto fund market logged $288 million in outflows.
The contrast highlights a growing divergence inside the digital asset sector: investors may be pulling money from large-cap exposure, but they are not necessarily abandoning crypto altogether.
Crypto funds extend five-week outflow streak
The $288 million weekly outflow marks the fifth consecutive week of withdrawals from digital asset investment products.
Over that stretch, roughly $4 billion has exited crypto funds. At the same time, trading activity has slowed significantly, with volumes falling to their lowest levels since mid-2025.
Regional data shows the divergence clearly:
- The United States led outflows with $347 million withdrawn in one week.
- Switzerland recorded $19.5 million in inflows.
- Canada added $16.8 million.
- Germany attracted $16.2 million.
This suggests the pullback is not uniform globally.
Bitcoin and Ethereum see heavy redemptions
The bulk of the pressure landed on major assets.
- Bitcoin-linked products saw $215 million in weekly outflows.
- Year-to-date Bitcoin fund withdrawals now total roughly $1.3 billion.
- Ethereum products logged $36.5 million in outflows.
- Tron products saw $18.9 million exit.
- Multi-asset crypto products lost $32.5 million.
Interestingly, short-Bitcoin products drew $5.5 million in inflows, indicating some investors are positioning for additional downside.
XRP continues attracting capital
Against that backdrop, XRP stood out.
Last week’s $3.5 million inflow follows $33.4 million in inflows the week prior. That momentum has pushed:
- Month-to-date inflows to about $105 million
- Year-to-date inflows to roughly $151 million
XRP was not alone. Solana-linked products recorded $3.3 million in inflows, while Chainlink products added $1.2 million. But XRP’s consistency over recent weeks has been particularly notable.
Why is XRP seeing inflows?
The divergence may reflect capital rotation rather than capital flight.
Some analysts suggest several possible factors:
- Relative valuation – XRP trades at a lower nominal price compared to Bitcoin, which may appeal to certain investors.
- Regulatory clarity – Legal developments in past proceedings involving Ripple have reduced uncertainty around the asset.
- Portfolio diversification – Investors may be reallocating exposure within crypto rather than exiting the sector entirely.
The data suggests that, even during broader market weakness, selective positioning continues.
Lower trading volumes reflect cautious sentiment
Overall crypto trading volumes have dropped to their lowest levels since mid-2025. That slowdown signals reduced participation and potentially thinner liquidity conditions.
In this environment, smaller inflows into specific assets like XRP can stand out more clearly against a backdrop of widespread redemptions.
What it means for the market
The current flow data paints a nuanced picture:
- Investors are cautious.
- Major assets are facing pressure.
- But capital is still moving inside the crypto ecosystem.
If inflows into XRP and select altcoins continue while Bitcoin products see redemptions, it may indicate a short-term shift in risk appetite rather than a complete retreat from digital assets.
For now, XRP remains one of the few bright spots in an otherwise defensive week for crypto funds.
