In a major leap forward for the crypto exchange space, ChangeNOW has announced that it now averages crypto swap times of under two minutes, setting a new industry benchmark for speed and efficiency.
The platform’s median swap time sits at just four minutes, a remarkable achievement considering that just a couple of years ago, 10-minute transactions were considered normal.

A 2024 survey of South Korean crypto investors revealed that 26.8% of respondents prioritized deposit and withdrawal speed over other factors like liquidity or brand reputation when selecting an exchange.
Meanwhile, Binance’s 2024 Global User Survey, which gathered feedback from more than 27,000 users, found that 17.2% of people listed transaction speed and ease as a primary reason for getting into crypto in the first place. In other words, slow platforms are being left behind.
“Two years ago, 10-minute swaps were the norm. Today, we’re consistently delivering under two,” said Pauline Shangett, Chief Strategy Officer at ChangeNOW. “That’s not just fast for web3 it’s on par with the best fintech systems out there.”

ChangeNOW’s performance isn’t just self-reported. According to the July 2025 Swapzone Industry Report, which tracks and compares real-time swap speeds across major instant-exchange services, the industry median is still around 9 to 10 minutes.
That puts ChangeNOW among the top non-custodial platforms globally, a key distinction as decentralized services become more mainstream.

Looking ahead, ChangeNOW sees ultra-fast speeds as more than a competitive advantage they believe it’s the future standard.
“Speed has become mission-critical,” Shangett added. “As real-world use cases grow and institutions expect fintech-level UX from decentralized platforms, we believe sub-minute swaps will become the industry norm by 2026.
