Galaxy Digital is back in the green and it has Bitcoin to thank.
After a punishing $295 million loss in Q1, the crypto investment firm led by Mike Novogratz just delivered a surprising comeback. On Tuesday, August 5, Galaxy announced it turned a $30.7 million profit in Q2 2025, clocking in $0.08 in earnings per share. Even more impressive? Adjusted EBITDA hit $211 million, largely fueled by the rising value of its digital assets.
A big part of the bounce: Bitcoin.
During the second quarter, Galaxy scooped up 4,272 BTC, bringing the value of its Bitcoin stash to $48 million. Overall, the company now holds $2.6 billion across digital assets and venture investments—primarily in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and a mix of high-growth startups. There’s also a modest $1.2 million sitting in stablecoins and cash.
But Bitcoin wasn’t the only bright spot. July was Galaxy’s best financial month since it went public on Nasdaq back in May 2021. The Global Markets division shattered internal records, while the asset management and infrastructure arms also showed strong momentum.
Galaxy even pulled off one of the largest crypto transactions in history: brokering the sale of more than 80,000 BTC for a client later in the quarter.
Beyond the numbers, the firm is also setting its sights on the AI boom. Galaxy recently acquired 160 acres to expand its Helios data center, paving the way for new deals—like its recent partnership with CoreWeave to offer computing power for artificial intelligence applications.
It’s clear that while Galaxy is riding the crypto wave again, it’s also planting seeds for the next frontier in digital infrastructure.
