Circle Internet Group has significantly strengthened its intellectual property portfolio by acquiring more than 680 IBM patent families, representing nearly 1,000 issued patents worldwide.
The acquisition covers a wide range of technologies, including blockchain infrastructure, digital payments, banking, insurance, supply chain management, enterprise software, and secure cloud computing. While the financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, Circle says the purchase reinforces its long-term strategy of building the infrastructure that powers digital finance.
