Fin.com has raised $20 million in seed funding as the New York-based payments startup expands its stablecoin-powered cross-border payment infrastructure.
The round was led by Expa and Uber cofounder Garrett Camp, with participation from Coinbase Ventures, Tenet Fund, founders of Figure, Mesh founder Bam Azizi, Second Sight Ventures and investors linked to sovereign and royal family offices in the Gulf and Africa.
Fin.com is focused on helping businesses move stablecoins into local bank accounts, mobile wallets and payment networks across markets including South Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
The company says its platform currently supports more than 40 currencies and payouts across over 30 countries.
Fin.com raises $20 million in seed funding
Fin.com closed its $20 million seed round in August, although the funding was publicly reported on Sept. 15.
The company did not disclose its valuation.
Founded by Nabeel Alamgir and Mustafa Dar, Fin.com is building white-label financial infrastructure that allows businesses to collect, convert and distribute money through a combination of stablecoins and traditional banking networks.
Its goal is to make cross-border payments faster and easier without requiring companies to build separate crypto infrastructure.
Fin.com is particularly focused on regions where international payment systems can be expensive, slow or difficult to access.
These include South Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
Fin.com targets the stablecoin-to-fiat gap
One of Fin.com’s main goals is solving what Alamgir describes as the “last mile delivery problem.”
Stablecoins can move quickly across blockchain networks, but recipients often still need to convert those digital dollars into local currency before they can spend or withdraw the funds.
Fin.com is building infrastructure designed to bridge that gap.
Through a single API, businesses can accept:
- Bank transfers
- International wires
- Stablecoins
They can then send payments to:
- Local bank accounts
- Mobile wallets
- Payment networks
- External crypto wallets
The company says both USDC and USDT can be used as settlement assets.
Fin.com supports more than 40 currencies
Fin.com says its payments platform supports over 40 currencies and payouts across more than 30 countries.
Its infrastructure connects to several major local and international payment networks.
Supported methods include:
- ACH
- SEPA
- Faster Payments
- PIX
- UPI
The company also lists mobile-money services including M-Pesa, GCash and Airtel Money among its available payout options.
Fin.com says its routing technology automatically selects payment paths based on factors such as speed, availability and cost.
This allows businesses to move money through different networks without manually choosing the route for each transaction.
Fin.com claims transfers can settle in under an hour
Fin.com says many transfers using its infrastructure can settle in less than 60 minutes.
The company compares this with traditional international banking transfers, which it says can take between two and five business days.
However, settlement speed can vary depending on several factors.
These include the payment corridor, local banking infrastructure, currency, compliance requirements and the financial partners involved.
The company’s speed figures should therefore be viewed as performance claims rather than guaranteed settlement times for every transaction.
Expa backed Fin.com after working with its founders
Fin.com’s relationship with Expa began before the latest funding announcement.
Mustafa Dar joined Expa as an investor in 2023 after leaving private aviation company 24/7 Jet.
Nabeel Alamgir previously founded restaurant technology company Lunchbox.
The pair reconnected in late 2025 and began developing Fin.com.
Expa now lists the startup among its portfolio companies and describes it as an operating system for international payments.
The venture firm says Fin.com combines stablecoins with local payment networks through a single API.
Expa founding partner Vitor Lourenço later joined the investment effort after Dar moved from being a potential investor into the role of Fin.com cofounder.
Garrett Camp, who founded Expa and co-founded Uber, also participated in the seed round.
Coinbase Ventures joins the Fin.com funding round
Coinbase Ventures was among the investors participating in the round.
The investment gives Fin.com additional backing from one of the most active crypto-focused venture firms.
Coinbase Ventures has continued investing heavily across cryptocurrency infrastructure, payments, decentralized finance and artificial intelligence.
Its participation also reflects growing investor interest in companies building infrastructure that connects stablecoins with traditional financial systems.
Rather than focusing only on trading or crypto-native applications, companies such as Fin.com are targeting everyday financial activities including payments, remittances and treasury operations.
Fin.com focuses on emerging-market payments
Fin.com has identified South Asia, Africa and the Middle East as some of its highest-priority markets.
Besides its New York headquarters, the company reportedly has operations or offices in:
- Las Vegas
- Dubai
- Dhaka
- Bangalore
- Lahore
These regions contain large cross-border payment markets where businesses and consumers often rely on multiple banks, money-transfer providers and mobile-payment services.
Fin.com wants stablecoins to act as the settlement layer connecting those different systems.
Recipients can still receive their money in local currency even if stablecoins are used behind the scenes.
Stablecoins power South Asian payment corridors
Fin.com’s website provides several examples of how its cross-border infrastructure can be used.
For South Asia, the company says its system can support local-currency accounts and stablecoin settlement involving currencies such as:
- Indian rupees
- Pakistani rupees
- Philippine pesos
These examples are company case studies and should not be treated as independently audited transaction data.
The broader idea is that businesses can settle internationally using stablecoins while customers or recipients continue receiving familiar local currencies.
This could reduce some of the complexity normally associated with international bank transfers.
Fin.com targets African payment routes
Fin.com is also expanding across African payment corridors.
The company says its infrastructure can connect USDC settlement with local currencies such as the Nigerian naira and Kenyan shilling.
Stablecoins operate as the middle layer, while recipients receive money through traditional banks or mobile-money networks.
This structure could make stablecoin-based payments more useful in markets where mobile wallets are already widely used.
Fin.com also supports cryptocurrency transactions involving BTC, ETH, USDC and USDT.
The platform offers options for automatically converting crypto into fiat currencies and sending funds to external wallets.
Compliance remains part of Fin.com’s infrastructure
Fin.com says it provides several compliance-related features.
These include:
- Wallet screening
- Transaction monitoring
- Travel Rule processing
- Automated crypto-to-fiat conversion
Its crypto payment documentation also lists exchanges including Crypto.com and Kraken among available payment channels.
However, Fin.com’s legal and regulatory structure is important as the company expands internationally.
Fin Inc. operates as a Delaware holding company, while regulated financial activities are handled through separate entities and payment partners.
One related entity, Wind Technologies, holds a Dubai Financial Services Authority Innovation Testing Licence.
That authorization is limited to approved testing conditions rather than unrestricted full-scale financial activity.
Fin.com’s own disclosures note that some normal financial protections may not apply during the testing period.
Stablecoin payment startups continue attracting investment
Fin.com’s funding comes during a period of strong investor interest in stablecoin payment infrastructure.
Several other companies operating in the sector have raised significant capital during 2026.
TransFi raised $19.2 million in March to expand stablecoin payment services across South Asia, Southeast Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.
Its financing included $14.2 million in Series A equity and a $5 million liquidity facility.
El Dorado later raised $9 million in a Series A led by Paradigm, with Coinbase Ventures also participating.
The company said it planned to expand stablecoin-powered payments across Latin America after processing more than five million transactions.
Stablecoin startup Latitude also raised $35 million in a Series A during the week ending Sept. 11.
Together, these funding rounds highlight increasing demand for infrastructure connecting stablecoins with traditional banking systems.
Stablecoin market reaches about $305 billion
Fin.com is expanding as the overall stablecoin market continues to grow.
Current market data places total stablecoin capitalization at approximately $305 billion.
Tether’s USDT accounts for around 60.1% of total stablecoin supply, while USDC remains the second-largest asset in the sector.
The size of the market has encouraged more companies to build services around stablecoin payments, settlement and treasury management.
Stablecoins are increasingly being used as infrastructure rather than simply as crypto trading assets.
Businesses can use them to transfer value globally while still relying on traditional bank accounts and local currencies at the beginning and end of a transaction.
Fin.com says customers reach 800 million users
Fin.com says its business customers collectively serve more than 800 million end users.
The company has not publicly identified those customers.
The figure therefore remains a company-provided claim rather than independently verified customer data.
Still, Fin.com plans to use its new funding to continue expanding its payment network, product infrastructure and market reach.
Its strategy is centered on creating a single connection between stablecoins, banking networks, payment systems and local currencies.
What comes next for Fin.com?
The $20 million Fin.com funding round gives the company additional resources to expand its cross-border payment infrastructure.
Its main opportunity lies in simplifying the connection between stablecoins and traditional financial systems.
Stablecoins may allow money to move quickly between countries, but the ability to convert those assets into local currencies remains essential for widespread adoption.
Fin.com wants to solve that problem by allowing businesses to access banks, mobile wallets, local payment networks and stablecoin settlement through one API.
The company’s focus on South Asia, Africa and the Middle East also places it in markets where demand for lower-cost and faster cross-border payments could be significant.
With support from Expa, Coinbase Ventures and other investors, Fin.com is positioning itself as another major player in the growing stablecoin payment infrastructure market.
