Ramp Network has officially become fully operational across the European Union after securing approval as a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP), marking a major regulatory milestone for the fintech firm.
Through its Irish entity, Ramp Swaps (Ireland) Limited, the company confirmed that all EU customer activity is now conducted under its CASP authorization. This approval brings Ramp Network under the regulatory oversight of the Central Bank of Ireland and ensures compliance with the EU’s landmark crypto framework, the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR).
The CASP license acts as a regulatory passport, allowing Ramp Network to offer its fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat services across all 27 EU member states under a single, harmonized approval. Instead of navigating fragmented national regulations, the company can now operate throughout the European bloc under one unified legal structure.
MiCAR is the world’s first comprehensive, fully harmonized regulatory framework for crypto services. It sets strict requirements around governance, operational resilience, transparency, and consumer protection. Ramp Network stated that its authorization confirms that its internal systems and processes meet these standards, providing EU users with a higher level of regulatory assurance.
From a strategic standpoint, operating as a CASP strengthens Ramp Network’s long-term presence in Europe. The company emphasized that aligning early with MiCAR reflects its commitment to regulatory clarity and sustainable growth as crypto adoption accelerates across the region.
