Bitget Wallet is teaming up with Mastercard and its licensed issuer, Immersve, to bring a new way for people to spend crypto seamlessly in everyday life. The companies have announced the launch of new crypto cards that let users pay directly from their digital wallets without any fees.
Available through the Bitget Wallet app, the crypto cards enable real-time payments powered by on-chain swaps and deposits. Users can pay for goods and services at over 150 million merchants worldwide that accept Mastercard, making it easy to use crypto just like cash or cards.
The rollout will begin in select regions, starting with the United Kingdom and the European Union. Bitget Wallet plans to expand availability to parts of Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand in the coming months.
Thanks to Mastercard’s “Digital First” feature, users can apply for a virtual card and receive it within minutes. Once approved, the card can be added directly to a mobile wallet, making it ready for immediate use both online and in physical stores.
Behind the scenes, Immersve, a Mastercard-licensed issuer, ensures all transactions are settled on-chain. This means crypto is converted into fiat currency in real time, all while complying with regulatory requirements like Know-Your-Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money-Laundering (AML) rules.
Scott Abrahams, Executive Vice President of Global Partnerships at Mastercard, said this partnership is a significant move toward broader adoption of digital assets.
“We’re committed to working with innovative companies like Bitget Wallet and Immersve to make crypto transactions simple, secure, and accessible at scale,” Abrahams explained, adding that digital wallets are fast becoming as common as email addresses.
Jamie Elkaleh, CMO at Bitget Wallet, echoed the enthusiasm. He noted that there’s growing demand for ways to use crypto in real-world transactions, and this partnership is helping turn that vision into reality.
“Crypto payments should be as seamless and secure as traditional transactions. With this partnership, Bitget Wallet users can now pay with crypto anywhere Mastercard is accepted,” Elkaleh said.
This isn’t the first time Mastercard has ventured into crypto innovation. Recently, the payments giant partnered with Chainlink to enable direct on-chain crypto purchases through off-chain payment systems for over 3 billion users. In June, Mastercard also announced plans to tokenize all its transactions in the EU by 2030.
With this latest move, Bitget Wallet, Mastercard, and Immersve are taking another step toward integrating digital assets into daily life, making crypto spending more practical and accessible than ever.
