Digital banking giant Revolut has finalized a major share sale valuing the company at $75 billion, marking one of the strongest private valuations in fintech history. The move reflects powerful investor confidence in Revolut’s rapid expansion, crypto banking capabilities, and record financial performance.
The transaction announced Monday was backed by leading firms Coatue, Greenoaks, Fidelity, and Dragoneer, with additional investment from a16z, Franklin Templeton, T. Rowe Price, and NVentures, Nvidia’s venture arm.
The deal also gives employees another chance to cash out their equity, marking the company’s fifth staff liquidity event since 2015.
Revolut’s Global Growth Continues to Accelerate
Founded in London in 2015, Revolut has built a broad global financial platform offering digital banking, international payments, investment tools, and cryptocurrency trading.
Record Financial Performance
Revolut’s momentum has been driven by exceptional financial growth:
- $4B in revenue for 2024 (+72%)
- $1.4B profit before tax (+149%)
- 65 million retail customers reached in 2025
- $1B in annualized revenue from its business division
These figures place Revolut among the top-performing fintech companies globally.
Expansion Across the Americas, India, and the EU
Revolut is rapidly scaling its banking footprint:
- Secured banking licenses in Mexico and Colombia
- Preparing to launch services in India
- Gained MiCA authorization in Cyprus, enabling regulated crypto services across the entire European Economic Area (30 countries)
The MiCA approval allows Revolut to offer compliant crypto trading, custody, and payments at scale throughout the EU strengthening its position as a major crypto-enabled neobank.
IPO Speculation Grows
Reports suggest Revolut is considering a dual listing in London and New York, though the company has not yet confirmed a timeline. A listing of this scale would be one of the most anticipated fintech IPOs in recent years.
Crypto Industry Sees Listing Boom in 2025
Revolut’s announcement comes during a breakout year for crypto firms accessing public markets:
- Circle (USDC issuer) listed on the NYSE in June
- Figure and Gemini both listed on Nasdaq in September
- BitGo filed for an IPO in September
- Kraken submitted its filing in November
- Grayscale plans to list on the NYSE
This surge in listings reflects rising investor demand for regulated exposure to digital assets and blockchain companies.
