Announced on Sept. 22, Aria PRIME is designed to bring film franchises, music catalogs, and other high-value cultural IP onchain. The platform offers rights holders improved liquidity and transparency while giving institutional investors structured access to intellectual property through blockchain infrastructure.
The first deal bringing Korean music catalogs onchain represents a massive share of South Korea’s global music distribution market. With tokenization, these assets can be divided into fractional ownership, generate royalties, and be embedded into smart contracts for remixing and licensing rights.
Powered by Story Protocol’s Layer-1 blockchain, Aria PRIME positions IP as both a financial instrument and a creative resource, enabling new business models for cultural content.
Funding and Early Growth
Earlier in September, Aria secured $15 million in seed and strategic funding at a $50 million valuation. The round was led by Polychain Capital, Neo Classic Capital, and the Story Protocol Foundation.
The platform generates revenue from token launches, trading activity, and IP vault management, though Aria says it is currently prioritizing lower costs to encourage adoption.
