After a jaw-dropping rally of nearly 500% in just over a month, PENGU the memecoin tied to Pudgy Penguins is showing signs that its explosive run might be cooling off.
From Breakout to Breakdown?
It’s been a wild ride. PENGU surged from just $0.0077 on June 22 to a high of $0.0466 by July 23, riding a wave of bullish sentiment, strong momentum, and meme coin mania.
Throughout the rally, the price hugged its 20-day EMA and stayed within a steep ascending trendline, consistently printing higher highs and higher lows a textbook uptrend. Even the RSI stayed comfortably above 60, confirming strong buying pressure.
But that may be changing.
Technical Red Flags Are Flashing
The first major warning sign? Bearish RSI divergence. While PENGU’s price reached new highs in late July, the RSI (a key momentum indicator) printed a lower high. That’s often a signal that momentum is fading even when price action looks strong on the surface.
Then came a deeper concern: instead of forming another higher low during its recent pullback, PENGU fell all the way back to a previous low. That break in the higher-low structure is a classic sign of trend weakness.
