Hyperliquid has reached another major milestone after its native HYPE token secured a place in the Bitwise 10 Crypto Index ETF (BITW). The addition comes after an impressive 165% rally this year, highlighting the growing institutional interest in one of the crypto market’s fastest-growing trading platforms.
The latest index update also reshaped the ETF’s holdings, with Polkadot (DOT) and Avalanche (AVAX) removed to make room for Hyperliquid and Stellar.
Bitwise adds Hyperliquid to its flagship crypto ETF
Bitwise has officially included Hyperliquid’s HYPE token in its Bitwise 10 Crypto Index ETF (BITW), one of the industry’s most recognized crypto investment products.
BITW is designed to provide investors with diversified exposure to the largest cryptocurrencies instead of requiring them to invest in individual digital assets. The fund tracks the Bitwise 10 Large Cap Crypto Index, which selects assets based on market capitalization, liquidity, and other screening criteria.
According to the latest holdings published on July 7, 2026, HYPE now represents approximately 0.95% of the ETF’s total portfolio.
Polkadot and Avalanche removed from the index
The latest monthly rebalancing brought several notable changes to the fund.
Alongside Hyperliquid, Stellar (XLM) was also added to the portfolio, while Polkadot (DOT) and Avalanche (AVAX) were removed after no longer meeting the index’s ranking requirements.
Bitwise reviews and rebalances the index every month, allowing new projects to enter as their market capitalization and liquidity improve, while removing assets that fall behind.
This process helps ensure the ETF continues to reflect the largest and most actively traded cryptocurrencies.
HYPE’s strong performance attracts institutional attention
Hyperliquid’s inclusion follows a remarkable year for both the platform and its native token.
According to industry data, Hyperliquid processed approximately $1.34 trillion in trading volume during the first half of 2026 while generating roughly $320 million in revenue.
At the same time, the HYPE token gained around 165% year-to-date, making it one of the strongest-performing large-cap cryptocurrencies during the period.
The platform’s rapid growth has significantly increased its visibility among both retail and institutional investors.
ETF demand has boosted Hyperliquid’s profile
Institutional interest in Hyperliquid has continued to expand beyond its addition to BITW.
Earlier this year, investment products linked to HYPE attracted more than $100 million in cumulative net inflows, reflecting growing demand from traditional financial investors seeking exposure to the project.
Although one HYPE-focused ETF later recorded its first daily outflow after 16 consecutive days of inflows, investor interest has remained relatively strong as the project continues to gain market recognition.
Inclusion strengthens Hyperliquid’s market position
Joining the Bitwise 10 Crypto Index ETF represents another important step for Hyperliquid.
Although HYPE currently accounts for less than 1% of the ETF’s total assets, inclusion in one of the crypto industry’s leading index funds increases the token’s visibility among institutional investors and portfolio managers.
At the same time, Bitcoin and Ethereum continue to dominate the ETF’s overall allocation due to their significantly larger market capitalizations.
Future index changes remain possible
Bitwise regularly updates the composition of its ETF based on changes in the cryptocurrency market.
If Hyperliquid continues expanding its trading activity and market capitalization, its weighting inside the fund could increase in future rebalancing cycles.
Likewise, other cryptocurrencies may enter or leave the portfolio as market conditions evolve.
For now, Hyperliquid’s addition to BITW marks another sign of the growing institutional recognition of the project and its rapidly expanding ecosystem.
