The initiative marks AgriFORCE\u2019s first live deployment under its <strong>Power &amp; Compute Initiative<\/strong>, which aims to utilize underutilized energy assets for high-performance computing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">First Deployment in Berwyn, Alberta<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Announced on June 17, the new mining site is located in <strong>Berwyn, Alberta<\/strong>, and was built in partnership with <strong>BlueFlare Energy<\/strong>, an energy solutions provider. The facility currently draws <strong>425 kilowatts (kW)<\/strong> to operate <strong>120 Bitmain S21 ASIC miners<\/strong>, delivering over <strong>32 petahashes per second (PH\/s)<\/strong> of computing power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The site is powered by <strong>stranded natural gas<\/strong> a byproduct of oil extraction that lacks pipeline infrastructure or economic viability for sale. This setup not only makes use of otherwise wasted energy but also enhances sustainability and cost-efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The infrastructure includes a <strong>custom-engineered mining pod<\/strong> with advanced airflow design, thermal regulation, and BlueFlare\u2019s proprietary telemetry platform for real-time operational monitoring. Emissions tracking is handled through BlueFlare\u2019s <strong>Carbon Cube<\/strong>, ensuring both environmental compliance and transparency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Phase 2 and Expansion Plans<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Phase 2<\/strong> of the Berwyn operation is already underway and will add another <strong>200 kW<\/strong> of power capacity, bringing the total to over <strong>625 kW<\/strong>. The company stated that the expansion would enable increased computational power and broader use cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To date, AgriFORCE has mined <strong>seven Bitcoin<\/strong> across its sites in Alberta and Ohio, totaling approximately <strong>$735,000<\/strong> in value. The company plans to <strong>hold up to 50%<\/strong> of its mined Bitcoin in its corporate treasury, while the rest will fund infrastructure and growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AgriFORCE also revealed a <strong>binding letter of intent<\/strong> with BlueFlare to build <strong>two additional mining sites<\/strong> in <strong>Oyen<\/strong> and <strong>Hinton<\/strong>, Alberta. These sites will follow the same modular, off-grid model and will be powered by <strong>640 kW<\/strong> gas-to-power units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notably, these future sites will not be limited to Bitcoin mining; they are expected to support <strong>AI inference workloads, industrial IoT processing, and edge computing<\/strong> broadening AgriFORCE\u2019s footprint in high-performance and decentralized computing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Toward 1 EH\/s by 2026<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking ahead, AgriFORCE has set ambitious growth targets. It aims to reach <strong>over 0.5 exahashes per second (EH\/s)<\/strong> by <strong>Q4 2025<\/strong> and to double that to <strong>1 EH\/s<\/strong> by <strong>Q1 2026<\/strong>, positioning itself among the more efficient and sustainable mining operators in North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Broader Shift Toward Sustainable Mining<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>AgriFORCE\u2019s initiative is part of a larger industry trend away from carbon-heavy mining and toward alternative energy sources. The move aligns with growing global interest in using <strong>flared or stranded gas<\/strong>, <strong>renewables<\/strong>, and <strong>surplus electricity<\/strong> to power blockchain and AI infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the U.S., <strong>Senator Ted Cruz<\/strong> introduced the <strong>FLARE Act<\/strong>, offering <strong>tax incentives for crypto miners<\/strong> that repurpose flared natural gas.
