Hackers reportedly stole over <strong>401,000 ETH<\/strong>, later converting the assets into <strong>Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies<\/strong> to mask their trail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This, coupled with a <strong>45% drop in Ethereum\u2019s price<\/strong>, significantly eroded capital across DeFi platforms. In terms of transactions, <strong>OpenSea remained the most active NFT marketplace<\/strong>, while <strong>OKX led in total trading volume<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Over $2 Billion Lost to Scams and Exploits<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Security issues were a recurring theme across Q1.
