The investigation revealed that the hackers exploited Bybit\u2019s Ethereum (ETH) multisig cold wallet during a routine transfer to the exchange\u2019s warm wallet. The attackers manipulated the signing interface, displaying the correct wallet address while altering the underlying smart contract logic to reroute funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lazarus Group has been previously linked to several high-profile cryptocurrency heists, including last year\u2019s DMM Bitcoin Exchange breach, which resulted in a loss of $305 million.
