price prediction for October: Can TRX break its narrow range?

TRON has entered October with TRX trading close to $0.335 after spending much of September inside a relatively tight range.

At the same time, the network continues to handle an enormous amount of stablecoin activity, with nearly $96 billion in stablecoins currently sitting on TRON.

That combination makes the outlook interesting.

TRON remains one of the largest networks for stablecoin settlement, while investors in the United States now also have access to a staked TRX exchange-traded fund.

However, neither strong stablecoin activity nor the existence of an ETF automatically means that large amounts of new money are flowing directly into TRX.

For October, the key question is whether TRON’s network usage and new investment access can finally translate into enough demand to push TRX out of its recent trading range.

TRX remains stuck near $0.335

TRX traded around $0.335 on Oct. 5.

Throughout much of September, daily closes remained between approximately $0.325 and $0.345.

That narrow range has created clear levels for traders to watch.

A sustained move above $0.35 would represent a meaningful breakout from the recent structure.

On the downside, a loss of the $0.32 area could signal that the range is breaking in the opposite direction.

For now, neither side has clearly taken control.

TRON holds nearly $96 billion in stablecoins

TRON remains one of the most important blockchain networks for stablecoin activity.

DeFiLlama data showed approximately $95.8 billion in stablecoins issued on the network.

By comparison, CoinGecko valued circulating TRX at roughly $31.8 billion.

That means the dollar value of stablecoins on TRON is around three times the market capitalization of TRX itself.

The comparison highlights TRON’s importance as a payments and settlement network.

But it should not be interpreted as a valuation signal suggesting TRX should automatically trade at a much higher price.

Stablecoin growth does not automatically mean TRX buying

TRON is widely used for USDT transfers.

A second-quarter network report put USDT transfer value on the network at approximately $2.1 trillion during the quarter.

At that point, the network held around $89.2 billion in stablecoins.

The latest snapshot is higher, at nearly $95.8 billion.

Those numbers demonstrate substantial network activity, but they do not show how much money investors are spending to buy TRX.

The same USDT can move between wallets several times.

Each transfer adds to total transaction volume even though it does not represent new capital entering the blockchain.

Stablecoins may also sit in exchange wallets, DeFi applications or individual addresses without creating additional TRX demand.

Users do not always need to buy TRX directly

TRX plays an important role in the TRON network because users can stake the token to obtain Energy and Bandwidth.

Transactions can also consume TRX through token burns when resources are required.

However, the relationship between stablecoin transfers and TRX buying is not one-to-one.

Applications can abstract transaction fees from users.

Some services also allow customers to pay fees using USDT while the network handles the underlying TRX resource costs.

That means growing USDT usage may increase network activity without requiring every user to directly purchase TRX.

This distinction is important when building a TRON price prediction.

Network fees provide another demand signal

Transaction activity becomes more useful for price analysis when it is considered alongside fees, staking behavior and token supply.

DeFiLlama showed roughly $770,000 in TRON fees over one recent 24-hour period.

A higher number of transactions does not always mean higher fees.

Changes in resource pricing can allow more transactions to occur while reducing the average amount paid per transaction.

For that reason, investors should track the trend in fees over time rather than relying on a single transfer-volume headline.

TRON’s staked ETF provides another demand route

The launch of the Canary Staked TRX ETF created a new way for traditional investors to gain exposure to TRX.

The fund trades under the ticker TRXS.

According to its prospectus, the fund aims to track TRX while also seeking staking rewards.

Investors can buy shares through brokerage accounts rather than holding and staking TRX directly.

That makes the fund an important potential source of institutional or traditional-market demand.

However, the actual share data shows that demand has remained limited so far.

TRXS shares barely changed after launch

The ETF began trading on Sept. 9.

At launch, Canary reported approximately 2.01 million shares outstanding.

By Sept. 15, that figure had increased to around 2.03 million shares.

The published share count then remained unchanged at 2.03 million through Oct. 2.

That means only around 20,000 additional shares were created after launch, representing an increase of just under 1%.

The lack of further share creation is important because it suggests that the ETF has not yet generated substantial new net demand.

Rising fund assets do not necessarily mean new inflows

TRXS reported approximately $50.23 million in net assets on Oct. 2.

However, investors should not interpret changes in net assets as direct evidence of new money entering or leaving the fund.

The value of the fund’s existing holdings changes as TRX moves.

A rising TRX price can therefore increase net assets even if no new fund shares are created.

Likewise, existing ETF shares can trade between investors without increasing the fund’s total outstanding share count.

A confirmed increase in shares outstanding would provide clearer evidence of new net demand.

TRXS remains tiny compared with TRX’s market value

At approximately $50.23 million in assets, the fund represents only a small fraction of TRX’s roughly $31.8 billion market capitalization.

The ratio is around 0.16%.

That does not mean the ETF is irrelevant.

Its launch provides a new regulated route for investors to access staked TRX exposure.

However, current fund size is still too small to justify assuming that ETF demand alone will drive a major TRX rally.

Substantial new share creation during October would strengthen the bullish case.

TRX supply is shaped by both issuance and burns

Another important factor is TRON’s token supply.

TRON generates new TRX through rewards for block producers and voters.

At the same time, tokens can be burned when users consume network resources.

This creates a balance between new issuance and token destruction.

TRONSCAN data described an average annual supply growth rate of around 0.31% between Aug. 30, 2025 and Oct. 3, 2026.

That figure does not mean TRX supply grows by the same amount every day.

Daily issuance and burns need to be compared separately.

TRX is not automatically deflationary

A Sept. 9 example illustrates why the distinction matters.

Around 3.91 million TRX were generated that day, while approximately 2.58 million TRX were burned.

That produced a net increase of about 1.33 million TRX.

So although TRON burns tokens through network activity, the supply did not decline on that particular day.

Other days may show the opposite result if burns exceed issuance.

For October, investors should monitor the full monthly trend rather than assuming TRX is permanently inflationary or deflationary.

More activity does not guarantee tighter supply

Heavy network usage can increase the amount of TRX burned.

But staking can allow users to obtain resources without burning tokens on every transaction.

Changes to network resource pricing can also reduce the amount of TRX required for the same level of activity.

That means a surge in USDT transfers may show strong adoption while still having only a limited impact on TRX supply.

A stronger bullish signal would come from rising network activity combined with higher fees and sustained periods where burns exceed issuance.

Bullish scenario: TRX breaks above $0.35

The main bullish scenario begins with a sustained breakout above $0.35.

TRX traded around $0.335 at the start of the analysis and had repeatedly closed between approximately $0.325 and $0.345 during September.

A move above $0.35 accompanied by rising spot volume would therefore represent a clear departure from the recent range.

If buyers can establish price above that level, the next upside zone sits around $0.38 to $0.40.

Could TRON reach $0.40 in October?

From a starting price of $0.335, a move to $0.38 would represent a gain of approximately 13.4%.

Reaching $0.40 would require an increase of around 19.4%.

Using roughly 95 billion circulating TRX, a $0.40 price would imply a market capitalization near $38 billion.

That is around $6 billion above the starting market capitalization.

However, this does not mean that $6 billion in new cash would need to enter TRX.

Market capitalization is calculated using the latest price across the full circulating supply, including tokens that did not trade.

What would support the bullish case?

Several developments could strengthen the case for a move toward $0.38 to $0.40.

A sustained breakout above $0.35 with higher spot volume would be the most important price signal.

Meaningful new TRXS share creation would provide evidence that ETF access is producing incremental demand.

Higher network fees could indicate stronger economic activity on TRON.

A period in which token burns consistently exceed issuance would also strengthen the supply-side argument.

Finally, a stronger overall crypto market could help TRX break higher alongside other major tokens.

The bullish scenario does not require every one of these signals to appear at the same time.

But relying only on the size of TRON’s stablecoin market would provide weak evidence for a price breakout.

What could invalidate the upside setup?

Repeated failures at $0.35 would weaken the bullish case.

The outlook would also become less convincing if TRXS shares remain flat while stablecoin balances rise but network fees decline.

Continued positive net issuance could further weaken the idea that network usage is tightening TRX supply.

A close below approximately $0.32 after an attempted breakout would be a particularly important warning sign.

Bearish scenario: TRX falls toward $0.29–$0.31

The downside scenario requires TRX to lose its recent support range.

A sustained move below approximately $0.325 to $0.32 would be more meaningful than a brief intraday dip.

From $0.335, a move to $0.31 would represent a decline of around 7.5%.

A fall to $0.29 would equal a drop of approximately 13.4%.

The $0.29 to $0.31 range should be treated as a downside scenario rather than a guaranteed price floor.

What could drive the downside case?

A wider crypto market selloff could push TRX lower even if its network fundamentals remain relatively stable.

Weak TRX-specific demand could also contribute.

ETF outflows would provide a clearer bearish signal if they appeared through actual share redemptions or lower underlying holdings.

A decline in fund net assets alone would not be enough because falling TRX prices can reduce asset values even when the number of shares stays unchanged.

A declining stablecoin balance, falling fees and continued net token issuance would also weaken the bullish network narrative.

Sanctions headlines require careful interpretation

TRON has recently appeared in sanctions-related reporting because several individual addresses on the network were designated in a U.S. action.

That does not mean the TRON network itself has been sanctioned.

It also does not mean TRX is under a blanket trading restriction.

For sanctions news to become a meaningful TRX price catalyst, there would need to be evidence that it affects exchange access, token liquidity or actual network activity.

Without that evidence, the headline alone is not enough to justify a major price forecast.

Neutral scenario: TRX remains between $0.32 and $0.36

A middle scenario would see TRX continue consolidating.

An October close between roughly $0.32 and $0.36 would keep the token relatively close to its Oct. 5 reference price.

At $0.335, the lower end of that range is around 4.5% below the starting point, while $0.36 is about 7.5% higher.

This scenario could occur even if TRON continues holding a large stablecoin balance.

The ETF could also keep trading without creating additional shares while TRX remains range-bound.

That would not necessarily represent weakness.

It would simply show that strong network utility has not yet translated into a major change in token demand.

Macro conditions could influence TRX

TRX does not trade in isolation.

Broader crypto market conditions and U.S. monetary policy can also affect the token.

The Federal Reserve is scheduled to meet on Oct. 27 and 28.

September PCE inflation data follows on Oct. 29.

The Sept. CPI report is due earlier, on Oct. 14.

If the entire crypto market falls alongside rising Treasury yields, a decline in TRX would likely reflect broader macro pressure.

If TRX underperforms while Bitcoin and other major assets remain strong, the weakness would be more specific to the token.

Comparing TRX with the wider market can therefore help explain October price movements.

What the current data cannot prove

The indicators used in this analysis measure different things.

CoinGecko provides continuously updating price and market-cap data.

DeFiLlama tracks stablecoins issued on the TRON network under its own classification system.

TRONSCAN reports generated and burned TRX by date.

Canary reports ETF assets and share counts based on U.S. trading days.

Combining one snapshot from each source does not prove that one variable directly caused another.

No public metric can identify exactly who bought the marginal TRX responsible for a particular price move.

Stablecoin users do not necessarily buy TRX in equal proportion.

ETF shares can change hands without new creations.

Token burns can also be offset by issuance.

The October ranges are therefore scenarios based on observable conditions, not statistical guarantees.

TRON price prediction for October 2026

TRX enters October with a relatively balanced setup.

Its network remains extremely important for stablecoin transfers, holding nearly $96 billion in stablecoins.

The launch of a U.S. staked TRX ETF has also created a new path for investment demand.

However, the available data does not yet show a strong increase in ETF share creation, and network activity cannot automatically be translated into proportional TRX buying.

The most important technical level remains $0.35.

A sustained move above that level with stronger spot volume could open the way toward $0.38 and potentially $0.40.

If TRX instead loses the $0.32 region, the downside range around $0.29 to $0.31 could come into focus.

The middle scenario remains continued consolidation between approximately $0.32 and $0.36.

For now, the October outlook depends less on headline stablecoin numbers and more on whether network activity, ETF demand, token supply and spot buying begin moving in the same direction.

FAQ

What is the TRON price prediction for October 2026?

TRX could remain between roughly $0.32 and $0.36 unless it breaks its recent range. A sustained move above $0.35 could open a path toward $0.38–$0.40, while a loss of $0.32 could expose $0.29–$0.31.

What was TRX trading at when this analysis began?

TRX was trading around $0.335 on Oct. 5.

Could TRON reach $0.40 in October?

Yes, but it would require a gain of roughly 19% from $0.335 and would be more convincing if accompanied by stronger spot volume, ETF share creation and supportive network data.

Why does USDT activity not guarantee a TRX rally?

USDT can move across TRON without users buying TRX in equal amounts. Stablecoin balances and transaction volume measure network usage, not direct spot demand for TRX.

Did the staked TRX ETF attract significant new shares in late September?

No major increase was visible. The fund had around 2.03 million shares outstanding on Oct. 2, unchanged from Sept. 15.

Is TRX supply falling because of transaction burns?

Not necessarily. TRX is both issued and burned. On some days issuance can exceed burns, so the net supply direction must be measured over a defined period.

What would support the downside case?

A sustained break below $0.32, ETF redemptions, weaker fees and continued positive net issuance would strengthen the bearish scenario.

Are these TRX price ranges financial advice?

No. They are scenario-based market analysis and should not be treated as guaranteed outcomes or investment recommendations.

Disclaimer: This article is for informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute financial or investment advice.

TRON has entered October with TRX trading close to $0.335 after spending much of September inside a relatively tight range.
