Adding another 1,800 BTC increased its treasury to 23,156 BTC.

At an average acquisition price of $79,431, the latest transaction was worth roughly $143 million.

BitcoinTreasuries.net data ranked Strive ahead of crypto exchange Bullish, which holds 22,000 BTC. That puts Strive in fifth place among publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holders, behind Strategy, Twenty One Capital, Metaplanet, and MARA Holdings.

With Bitcoin trading at roughly $76,400 at the time, Strive’s 23,156 BTC treasury was worth approximately $1.77 billion. However, the value of the holdings can change significantly as Bitcoin’s market price moves.

Strive CEO Matt Cole confirmed the acquisition on Aug. 31, saying the latest purchase brought the company’s total holdings to 23,156 BTC.

The deal followed another substantial purchase just one week earlier.

Between Aug. 17 and Aug. 21, Strive acquired 1,110 BTC for approximately $81.5 million at an average price of $73,409 per coin. That purchase increased its holdings from 20,246 BTC to 21,356 BTC.

Across the two reporting periods, Strive purchased a combined 2,910 BTC for approximately $224.5 million.

Share Sales Are Funding Strive’s Bitcoin Strategy

Strive has been financing its Bitcoin accumulation strategy partly through two Nasdaq-listed securities: ASST common stock and SATA preferred stock.

Both securities are sold through at-the-market programs, allowing the company to issue shares gradually based on market conditions rather than relying entirely on large traditional offerings.

The latest SEC filing showed that Strive’s outstanding Class A common shares increased by approximately 3.58 million during the week, rising from 79.89 million to 83.47 million.

Its Class B share count remained unchanged at 9.79 million.

As a result, effective common shares outstanding increased to approximately 93.26 million, while the company’s assumed fully diluted share count climbed to 96.52 million.

The diluted figure includes options and unvested employee awards but excludes approximately 26.6 million shares connected to traditional warrants.

Strive also continued issuing SATA preferred shares.

The number of outstanding SATA shares increased by 803,099 to approximately 9.07 million. With each share carrying a $100 liquidation preference, their implied aggregate liquidation value reached roughly $907.4 million.

Strive did not specify exactly how much of the latest Bitcoin purchase was funded through ASST versus SATA issuance. However, the increase in both securities shows that equity issuance remains an important part of the company’s Bitcoin acquisition strategy.

That approach also creates risks for investors, particularly through potential dilution.

In June, Strive announced plans to add $2.1 billion of capacity to each program, providing as much as $4.2 billion in potential additional fundraising capacity.

ASST and SATA Give Investors Different Exposure

ASST and SATA provide investors with different forms of exposure to Strive’s Bitcoin-focused balance sheet.

ASST common shareholders own the company’s residual equity after senior obligations are accounted for. However, they can face dilution when Strive issues additional common shares to raise capital.

SATA investors, meanwhile, hold perpetual preferred stock with priority for declared dividends.

The security does not have a scheduled maturity date and does not provide investors with a direct claim to a fixed amount of Strive’s Bitcoin holdings.

Strive has maintained a 13% annualized dividend rate for SATA and began paying declared cash dividends every business day in June.

While the structure provides Strive with additional capital for its treasury strategy, the company must continue managing the dividend obligations associated with the preferred shares.

Strive’s Cash Balance Grows Despite $143M Bitcoin Purchase

Interestingly, Strive’s cash position increased even after spending roughly $143 million on additional Bitcoin.

Cash and cash equivalents rose by approximately $11.6 million, climbing from $171.9 million on Aug. 21 to $183.5 million on Aug. 28.

Strive also continued holding 505,000 shares of Strategy’s STRC preferred stock.

The number of STRC shares remained unchanged during the period, but their reported fair value increased by $581,000 to approximately $49.15 million.

Combined, Strive’s cash and STRC holdings were valued at around $232.65 million at the end of the reporting period.

The company has used these assets as part of the reserves supporting its preferred-stock obligations.

Earlier in August, Strive also announced that it had eliminated all outstanding short- and long-term debt.

However, its second-quarter financial results highlighted the volatility that comes with maintaining such a large Bitcoin treasury.

Strive reported a GAAP net loss of $257.6 million during the quarter, including approximately $234 million related to declines in the fair value of Bitcoin and STRC.

Preferred-stock dividends also affected returns available to common shareholders. The company recorded $26.2 million in SATA dividends within its adjusted second-quarter loss attributable to common stockholders.

Strive Has Accelerated Bitcoin Purchases

Strive’s Bitcoin accumulation has accelerated significantly throughout 2026.

The company reported purchasing 6,236 BTC during the second quarter and 12,237 BTC during the first six months of the year.

Another 303 BTC purchased through Aug. 7 increased the company’s treasury to 20,167 BTC.

Strive then bought 79 BTC for approximately $5 million between Aug. 10 and Aug. 14.

That was followed by the 1,110 BTC purchase the following week and another 1,800 BTC in the latest reporting period.

Together, those three transactions added 2,989 BTC to Strive’s treasury in just 15 days.

The company’s rapid accumulation strategy had already helped it climb the corporate Bitcoin rankings earlier this year.

In May, Strive acquired 1,109 BTC for approximately $85.4 million, bringing its holdings to 16,500 BTC and pushing it ahead of Coinbase and Riot Platforms at the time.

Its latest purchase has now taken Strive another step higher.

ASST Stock Extends Strong August Rally

Strive’s growing Bitcoin treasury has coincided with a sharp rally in its ASST shares.

The stock gained more than 5% during Monday trading after closing at $21.74 on Aug. 28.

ASST opened the session at $22.54 and traded between approximately $21.95 and $23.46.

At around $23.16, the stock was up roughly 6.5% for the day and had gained approximately 95% during August.

Trading volume exceeded 5.2 million shares during the session, close to its average trading volume of approximately 5.18 million.

The rally followed Strive’s rapid Bitcoin accumulation and continued fundraising through its common-stock program.

However, ASST investors remain exposed to several risks, including Bitcoin price volatility, additional share dilution, and the cost of preferred-stock dividends.

SATA, meanwhile, traded close to its $100 liquidation preference after dropping below that level during the previous week.

The preferred stock’s market price is particularly important for Strive’s fundraising strategy. If SATA trades significantly below $100, the company would need to issue more shares to raise the same amount of capital, potentially increasing its future dividend obligations.

Bitcoin Price Remains Below Strive’s Latest Purchase Price

Bitcoin traded near $78,000 during the same period after moving between approximately $77,161 and $79,346 over 24 hours.

That placed BTC below Strive’s latest average purchase price of $79,431.

However, Bitcoin remained above the $73,409 average price Strive paid for the previous 1,110 BTC acquisition.

Short-term price fluctuations could therefore affect the market value of Strive’s treasury, particularly as the company continues accumulating Bitcoin at different price levels.

Strive Strengthens Its Position Among Corporate Bitcoin Holders

Strive’s latest $143 million purchase demonstrates that the company remains committed to building one of the world’s largest corporate Bitcoin treasuries.

With 23,156 BTC now on its balance sheet, Strive has overtaken Bullish and moved into fifth place among publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holders.

At the same time, the strategy comes with clear trade-offs. Raising capital through ASST and SATA gives Strive more resources to accumulate Bitcoin, but continued issuance can create dilution and additional dividend obligations.

For investors, Strive is therefore becoming increasingly tied to Bitcoin’s performance. If BTC rises, the company’s expanding treasury could significantly increase in value. If Bitcoin falls, however, the same strategy could amplify balance-sheet volatility.

For now, Strive’s rapid accumulation shows little sign of slowing as the company continues using capital markets to strengthen its position among the largest corporate Bitcoin holders.

Strive has expanded its Bitcoin treasury with another major purchase, acquiring 1,800 BTC for approximately $143 million and increasing its total holdings to 23,156 BTC.
