However, technical indicators are beginning to show signs of overheating, increasing the possibility of a short-term pullback before another move higher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the time of writing, HYPE was trading near $79.83, slightly lower over the previous 24 hours but still significantly higher on both weekly and monthly timeframes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">HYPE Holds Near $80 After Reaching a Record High<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hyperliquid climbed to an all-time high of $83.27 on Aug. 23 before meeting resistance between $82 and $84.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite some profit-taking, the token remained close to the $80 level on Aug. 24. Its market capitalization stood near $17.8 billion, putting HYPE among the largest cryptocurrencies by market value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The latest rally accelerated on Aug. 19 when HYPE moved from below $60 to almost $70 in a single trading session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Buyers then pushed the token above $75 and eventually beyond $80 over the following days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fact that HYPE continues to consolidate close to its record high suggests buyers are still active. However, the pace of the rally has slowed, which could create room for a temporary correction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supertrend Support Remains Important<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HYPE is still trading above its four-hour Supertrend level near $72.67.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As long as the token stays above this level, the broader short-term bullish structure remains intact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A decisive move below $72.67, however, could weaken the current trend and bring the previous breakout zone between $68 and $70 back into focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Momentum indicators are also showing that the rally may be cooling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The four-hour Awesome Oscillator remained positive at around 6.08, indicating that bullish momentum has not disappeared. However, its histogram has started to decline after reaching a recent peak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This means buyers are still in control, but the upward momentum is no longer strengthening as rapidly as it was during the initial breakout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hyperliquid Fees Support Demand for HYPE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the strongest fundamental factors behind HYPE\u2019s rally is the rising activity on Hyperliquid\u2019s derivatives platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The protocol reportedly generated around $6.5 million in fees during a recent 24-hour period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That was significantly higher than the roughly $1.5 million generated by Pump.fun during the same period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hyperliquid also recorded approximately $5.6 million in revenue and more than 102,000 daily active users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The increase came as leveraged trading activity expanded across the broader crypto market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is especially important for HYPE because most of the protocol\u2019s trading fees are directed toward its Assistance Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to DeFiLlama, around 99% of perpetual and spot trading fees, excluding some builder-related fees, are used by the fund for open-market purchases of HYPE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This mechanism can create recurring demand for the token when trading activity remains strong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hyperliquid Generated More Than $55 Million in Monthly Fees<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hyperliquid generated approximately $55.64 million in fees over the previous 30 days, including around $40.94 million in protocol revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If platform activity remains elevated, those fees could continue supporting HYPE demand through market purchases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, this also means the bullish fundamental case depends partly on continued trading activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If volumes fall sharply, fee generation could decline and reduce the amount of HYPE purchased through the Assistance Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For that reason, traders are closely watching whether the recent increase in activity can be sustained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">HIP-3 Adds Another Source of HYPE Demand<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hyperliquid\u2019s HIP-3 framework could provide another long-term source of demand for the token.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HIP-3 allows builders to launch their own perpetual futures markets on the Hyperliquid infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To deploy a market, a builder must stake 500,000 HYPE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These markets can operate with their own order books, margin rules and settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The framework has also allowed Hyperliquid to expand beyond traditional crypto markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HIP-3 supports derivatives linked to commodities, equities and foreign exchange, giving the platform exposure to a broader range of financial markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If more builders begin deploying HIP-3 markets, the staking requirement could increase demand for HYPE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, activity remains concentrated among a relatively small number of major deployers, meaning continued adoption will be important for the long-term bullish case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">HYPE RSI Shows Overbought Conditions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While the fundamental outlook remains supportive, technical indicators suggest HYPE may have moved too far too quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The daily Relative Strength Index reached approximately 75.91.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An RSI above 70 is generally considered overbought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This does not guarantee an immediate reversal, but it indicates that the rally has become stretched and may be more vulnerable to based on the 20-day simple moving average, remained much lower at approximately $62.43.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The large distance between price and its short-term average could trigger another wave of profit-taking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first immediate support zone sits around $78 to $79.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Liquidation data also shows another concentration of positions near $77, while stronger technical support appears between $75 and $77.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If HYPE loses that area, the correction could extend toward the four-hour Supertrend level around $72.67.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A break below the Supertrend would significantly weaken the short-term bullish structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In that scenario, the $68 to $70 area could become the next major downside Next Breakout<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Traders are now watching whether HYPE can produce another increase in trading volume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pseudonymous analyst Altcoin Sherpa suggested that the token may be preparing for another breakout candle and highlighted the possibility of a significant expansion in volume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The bullish scenario would require HYPE to close decisively above $84 while spot trading volume increases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Such a move could invalidate the recent rejection and place $86.30 and $90 in focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Without stronger volume, however, the advocating for clearer legal pathways that could eventually allow U.S. users to access decentralized markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, there is currently no confirmed announcement from the White House or CFTC stating that Hyperliquid itself is being formally integrated into the U.S. market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This means U.S. regulatory reaching a record $83.27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Growing fees, rising protocol revenue and the token demand created by Hyperliquid\u2019s fee structure continue to support the bullish case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the same time, the daily RSI above 75 and the token\u2019s position above the upper Bollinger Band show that the market has become stretched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The immediate battle is now centered around $84.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A strong breakout above that level could trigger additional short liquidations and push HYPE toward $86.30 and potentially $90.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the other hand, another rejection could send the token back toward $78, $77 or $75 as traders take profits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For now, HYPE remains in price discovery, but whether it can continue higher will likely depend on fresh trading volume
