Bitway (BTW) has become one of the crypto market\u2019s standout performers this week, climbing more than 100% in just seven days. The token briefly pushed above $0.40 before cooling off and trading near $0.37 on Aug. 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The rally has been impressive, but it has also happened very quickly. Reward campaigns, staking incentives, and renewed attention from traders have helped fuel demand. At the same time, technical indicators suggest BTW may be getting overheated, leaving traders to wonder whether the rally has more room to run or whether a deeper correction is approaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the biggest catalysts behind BTW\u2019s surge was Bitway\u2019s incentivized decentralized traditional finance staking program, introduced on Aug. 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The program offered participants an 8% base annual percentage rate paid in Tether (USDT), along with an additional 4% return through platform points. Paying part of the reward in a stablecoin may have made the offer more appealing to investors who wanted exposure to BTW without receiving their entire yield in the token itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another boost came from Binance Wallet\u2019s Bitway Booster Season 4 campaign, which offered more than $200,000 in bonus APR rewards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Together, these incentives encouraged existing holders to put their BTW into supported products while also attracting fresh attention to the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That demand quickly showed up in the price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
BTW started the seven-day period below $0.20 before climbing to around $0.44 on Bitget on Aug. 17. Although sellers pushed the token lower afterward, buyers stepped back in and helped it recover toward $0.37.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite the pullback from its recent high, BTW has managed to hold a large portion of its gains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The token traded around $0.374 on Aug. 18 after falling as low as approximately $0.340 during the session. Its recovery from that level suggests buyers are still willing to enter the market during dips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The broader trend also remains bullish based on the moving averages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 20-day moving average was around $0.2136, while the 50-day average stood near $0.1252 and the 100-day average around $0.0860.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the shorter-term average sitting above the longer-term averages, the overall structure remains positive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, there is another side to this setup. BTW is now trading far above its recent averages, showing just how quickly the token has risen. When a cryptocurrency moves this far in such a short period, the chances of aggressive profit-taking can increase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The daily Relative Strength Index provides another warning signal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
BTW\u2019s daily RSI reached 76.85, while its RSI signal average was around 78.05. An RSI above 70 is generally considered overbought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That does not automatically mean BTW is about to crash. Strong cryptocurrencies can remain overbought for extended periods during momentum-driven rallies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Still, the reading shows that buying has been unusually aggressive. Traders entering after a 100% weekly rally therefore face considerably different risk than those who bought before the breakout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What makes BTW\u2019s rally particularly interesting is that it happened while Bitcoin and several major altcoins were struggling to generate similar momentum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That suggests Bitway-specific developments played an important role in the move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The staking campaign may also temporarily reduce the number of tokens available for immediate trading if holders lock their BTW into supported products. Lower available supply combined with increasing demand can help amplify price movements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, there is an important question: what happens when the promotional incentives lose their appeal or come to an end?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For BTW to maintain its momentum over the longer term, demand may eventually need to come from more than reward campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Valuation is another factor investors should watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the market data cited in the original analysis, Bitway had a circulating market capitalization of approximately $974 million, while its fully diluted valuation was around $3.59 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The large difference between the two figures could become important over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If a significant amount of additional BTW enters circulation, existing holders could face dilution. Token unlock schedules and future circulating supply may therefore become increasingly important if investors begin looking beyond the current momentum rally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From a technical perspective, the $0.40 area is shaping up as one of the most important short-term levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the four-hour chart, BTW was trading around $0.374, above the Bollinger Band midpoint near $0.341 but below the upper band around $0.403.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A convincing move above the $0.40\u2013$0.403 region could signal that buyers have absorbed the selling pressure around current levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If that happens, attention could shift back toward the recent high around $0.44.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A further breakout could potentially bring the $0.46 area into focus, particularly if momentum traders return to the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The four-hour Chaikin Money Flow reading of 0.15 also remained positive, suggesting buying pressure was still stronger than selling pressure during that timeframe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The bullish setup becomes less convincing if BTW loses support around $0.34.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A sustained move below the Bollinger Band midpoint near $0.341 could increase selling pressure and potentially send the token toward the lower band around $0.279.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Below that, the previous breakout zone between approximately $0.20 and $0.22 could become an important deeper support area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Considering how quickly BTW climbed, traders should not assume that every support level will necessarily hold during a sharp correction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Leverage may make BTW\u2019s next move even more volatile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The one-week liquidation heatmap cited in the analysis showed notable liquidity sitting both above and below the current market price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the upside, liquidation clusters were concentrated around $0.38\u2013$0.39, with another significant area between roughly $0.42 and $0.44.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If BTW breaks above $0.40 with strong momentum, short sellers could be forced to close their positions. Those liquidations could add additional buying pressure and potentially accelerate a move toward $0.44 or higher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The downside carries a similar risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A major liquidity concentration was visible around $0.30\u2013$0.31, with additional areas near $0.28 and between $0.23 and $0.25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If buyers stop defending the $0.34 region, forced liquidations could potentially make a correction much faster and more severe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Liquidation heatmaps, however, should not be treated as price targets. They simply highlight areas where leveraged positions may become vulnerable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For now, Bitway’s short-term market structure remains bullish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Holding above approximately $0.341 keeps the possibility of another attempt at $0.40 alive. A confirmed breakout above $0.403 could put $0.44 and potentially $0.46 back in focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But the risks are becoming harder to ignore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
BTW has already gained more than 100% in a week, its daily RSI is firmly in overbought territory, and the token is trading far above its major moving averages. Those conditions can support further momentum, but they can also produce sharp corrections when traders begin locking in profits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The reward campaigns provided a clear catalyst for the initial rally. The bigger test will be whether Bitway can continue attracting buyers after the excitement surrounding those incentives begins to fade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the short term, $0.40 is the level bulls need to reclaim, while $0.34 is an important support area to defend. Losing that support could shift attention toward $0.30 and $0.28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ultimately, BTW\u2019s next major move may depend on whether the token can turn its reward-driven momentum into sustained market demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
