After climbing more than 20% from its June lows, SOL has pulled back sharply, with traders now watching whether the crucial $70 support level can hold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The decline comes as investors react to a more cautious Federal Reserve outlook, growing macroeconomic uncertainty, and signs that risk appetite across the crypto market is fading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solana Gives Back Part of Its June Recovery<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After reaching a local high of $75.60 on June 15, Solana fell to an intraday low of $70.70 on June 18 before stabilizing around the $71 level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The correction followed an impressive rebound from early June lows near $62, where Solana had benefited from improving market sentiment and a broader crypto recovery. However, the momentum faded once buyers failed to reclaim the important $75-$76 resistance area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Federal Reserve&#8217;s latest policy decision also added pressure. While interest rates remained unchanged at 3.50%-3.75%, policymakers warned that inflation risks remain elevated and hinted that additional tightening could still be possible in 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That hawkish stance pushed investors toward a risk-off approach, weighing on cryptocurrencies and other speculative assets. Bitcoin slipped toward $64,000 after the announcement, while many altcoins posted even steeper losses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Major Resistance Remains Firm<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>From a technical perspective, Solana continues to face a difficult battle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The $75-$76 zone has emerged as a critical resistance level. This signals that buyers have improved conditions somewhat, but they have not yet taken full control of the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, the Aroon Indicator continues to favor the bears, with the Aroon Down reading significantly stronger than Aroon Up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Market analyst BATMAN also highlighted that Solana has been rejected at a former support level that is now acting as resistance. He noted that the stochastic oscillator recently reached the same overbought region that preceded the previous major decline, suggesting the possibility of further downside movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Liquidation Zones Could Influence Price Action<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Derivatives data adds another layer of risk for traders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to CoinGlass liquidation heatmaps, a significant concentration of leveraged positions sits between $74 and $76. These liquidity clusters often attract price movements as traders are forced to close positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below current prices, notable liquidation zones appear around:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>$66<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>$65<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The largest concentration of liquidity currently sits near the $65 level, making it an important area to watch if selling pressure increases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Weak Network Activity Adds Pressure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond the charts, some fundamental indicators have also softened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Data from DeFiLlama shows that Solana&#8217;s transaction fee generation and total value locked growth have slowed compared with earlier phases of the market cycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These metrics previously helped fuel SOL&#8217;s strong performance, but weaker network activity reduces one of the key bullish arguments supporting the asset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, institutional capital has increasingly shifted toward traditional markets.
