Trump Media & Technology Group has moved another large batch of Bitcoin to Crypto.com, raising fresh questions about its crypto treasury strategy and whether the transfer could add short-term pressure to the Bitcoin market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to blockchain analytics platform Lookonchain, wallets linked to Trump Media transferred 2,650 BTC worth around $205 million to Crypto.com. The company, best known as the parent of Truth Social, is majority owned by the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Large Bitcoin deposits to exchanges often catch traders\u2019 attention because they can suggest that a sale may be coming. However, an exchange transfer does not always mean the coins will be sold immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this case, the transferred BTC reportedly remains in the Crypto.com wallet. That means the market still does not know whether Trump Media plans to sell, hold, use custody services, or move the assets through an over-the-counter deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Still, the timing has made traders cautious. Bitcoin was trading near $77,700 at the time of the latest transfer, far below the company\u2019s reported average purchase price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trump Media previously disclosed that it had accumulated 11,542 BTC at an average price of about $118,522 per coin. That placed the total purchase value near $1.37 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier this year, the company moved 2,000 BTC worth about $175 million when Bitcoin was trading near $87,378. After that transfer, its Bitcoin holdings dropped to 9,542 BTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the latest 2,650 BTC movement flagged by Lookonchain, the company\u2019s remaining treasury appears to be around 6,889 BTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The decline in Bitcoin\u2019s price has already affected Trump Media\u2019s balance sheet. The company reported a $405.9 million net loss for Q1 2026, with $368.7 million tied to unrealized losses on digital assets, pledged crypto assets, and equity securities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The transfer could create short-term fear among traders because large exchange inflows are often viewed as potential sell pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, the direct market impact may be limited unless the BTC is actually sold on the open market. A $205 million transfer is significant, but it remains small compared with Bitcoin\u2019s daily spot and derivatives trading volume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If Trump Media sells directly through Crypto.com, it could add pressure near current price levels. If the coins are handled through OTC channels or simply moved for custody purposes, the market impact may be much smaller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite concerns around corporate treasury selling, broader on-chain data still shows strong long-term holder conviction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recent market reports suggest that more than 70% of Bitcoin\u2019s circulating supply has not moved for over a year. This indicates that many long-term investors continue holding through the current downturn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For now, Trump Media\u2019s BTC transfer is more of a short-term sentiment risk than a confirmed bearish event. Traders will likely watch whether the funds remain parked, move again, or show signs of being sold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
