With expectations pointing to a modest increase in inflation, the real question is not whether CPI will move markets, but how much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Economists expect January CPI to rise 0.3% month over month, potentially bringing annual inflation down to around 2.5%. That would suggest gradual cooling, but not enough to guarantee imminent rate cuts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For crypto markets, inflation matters because it directly influences Federal Reserve policy. A hotter-than-expected reading could strengthen the U.S. dollar, push back expectations for rate cuts, and pressure risk assets. A softer reading, on the other hand, could provide relief and fuel a rebound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Against that backdrop, here\u2019s how major cryptocurrencies are positioned technically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bitcoin is currently trading around $68,150, hovering between key technical levels as traders wait for the CPI catalyst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Near-term support sits at $66,000. If Bitcoin breaks below that level, momentum could accelerate toward $64,000, with $60,000 acting as a deeper support zone where long-term buyers may step in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the upside, $70,000 remains the first major resistance barrier. This level has capped previous rallies and will likely serve as a psychological test. A clean break above $70,000 could open the path toward the $74,000\u2013$75,000 region an area that once acted as support but may now function as resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ethereum is hovering near $1,990 after a modest bounce of nearly 2% over the past 24 hours. While the recovery attempt is encouraging, ETH remains close to a critical support area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The key level to watch is $1,850. If buyers continue defending this zone, Ethereum could attempt another push toward the $2,000\u2013$2,100 resistance range. A decisive move above that area would signal improving bullish momentum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, if $1,850 fails, downside risk increases. The next support sits around $1,750, followed by the lower Bollinger Band near $1,690.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Like Bitcoin, Ethereum\u2019s short-term direction will likely track broader macro sentiment following the inflation release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
XRP is trading around $1.40, up roughly 2% in the past 24 hours. The token appears stable for now, but remains vulnerable to shifts in broader market sentiment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Immediate support lies at $1.35. As long as this level holds, bulls may attempt to push XRP above the $1.45 resistance. A breakout there could open the door to $1.60.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If $1.35 gives way, however, XRP could slide toward $1.28 as the next downside target.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
