Analysts pointed to growing conviction around <strong>stablecoins, DeFi, and digital asset treasuries<\/strong> as the real driver of ETH\u2019s momentum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">OKX President: \u201cIt\u2019s Not a Zero-Sum Game\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking with crypto.news, OKX President <strong>Hong Fang<\/strong> offered a fresh perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead of seeing Bitcoin and Ethereum as rivals, she framed them as <strong>complementary pillars<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bitcoin anchors trust and value.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ethereum powers programmable finance.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEven when ETH\/BTC ratios look weak, institutional engagement with Ethereum shows conviction in DeFi, staking, and on-chain innovation,\u201d Fang said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In other words, this isn\u2019t just a rotation it\u2019s a <strong>structural shift<\/strong> in how institutions allocate capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How OKX Is Responding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This divergence is reshaping OKX\u2019s own playbook. Fang revealed that the exchange has leaned deeper into Ethereum products, rolling out:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>ETH-margined derivatives<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Structured ETH trades<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Institutional staking options<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Perhaps most notably, OKX partnered with <strong>Standard Chartered<\/strong> to launch a <strong>third-party collateral program<\/strong>. Institutions can now use ETH and tokenized assets as off-exchange collateral, securely held by a globally systemically important bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe don\u2019t chase market cycles,\u201d Fang explained. \u201cWe build solutions that strengthen institutional access, security, and transparency.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Proof-of-Reserves: A Trust Anchor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Trust is a recurring theme for Fang. She pointed to OKX\u2019s <strong>35th consecutive Proof-of-Reserves (PoR) report<\/strong>, verifying <strong>$37.7 billion in assets<\/strong> a streak spanning nearly three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What makes it matter? Consistency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPublishing PoR month after month shows customers their assets are safe,\u201d Fang said. OKX has expanded coverage to 22 assets, added <strong>zk-STARK privacy tech<\/strong>, and partnered with auditors like Hacken to keep standards high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Looking Ahead: A Unified USD Market<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Asked what milestone she\u2019s eyeing in the next 12 months, Fang kept her focus on long-term infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One highlight: OKX is moving toward <strong>unified USD liquidity<\/strong>, merging USD, USDC, and USDG into a single order book.
