By doing so, the attacker gained ongoing approval to initiate transfers from the wallet effectively seizing control of all funds. This type of scam has become increasingly common in DeFi, where hackers create fake websites or dApps that mimic legitimate platforms and trick users into granting permissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Venus Protocol Responds<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In response to the incident, Venus Protocol <strong>paused its smart contract<\/strong> as a precaution.
