The sharp drop has dragged its <strong>market cap below $1 billion<\/strong>, currently sitting at about <strong>$935 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From Breakout to Pullback<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Just days ago, PYTH was one of the standout gainers in the crypto market. Its rally was fueled by news that the <strong>U.S. Department of Commerce would put economic data onchain<\/strong> using both <strong>Pyth Network and Chainlink<\/strong>. That announcement sent PYTH soaring from <strong>$0.11 on Aug. 28 to $0.25 on Aug. 29<\/strong>, its best level in half a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But as the broader crypto market slumped, Pyth quickly gave back gains. Daily trading volume has dropped by about <strong>25%<\/strong>, signaling profit-taking as traders lock in wins from last week\u2019s run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Following the Market Trend<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>PYTH\u2019s decline isn\u2019t happening in isolation. The retreat mirrors moves in <strong>Bitcoin<\/strong> and <strong>Ethereum<\/strong>, which have also slipped in recent sessions. Bitcoin dropped below a key psychological level, hitting lows of <strong>$107,300<\/strong>, while Ethereum edged lower in tandem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the sell-off, Pyth\u2019s weekly gains have narrowed to about <strong>41%<\/strong>, and analysts warn the correction could deepen if market weakness continues through September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What\u2019s Next for Pyth?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Bulls had set their sights on <strong>$0.30<\/strong> after last week\u2019s explosive rally, but that target looks increasingly distant in the short term. Analysts at <strong>Bitfinex<\/strong> suggest altcoins as a whole are entering a cooling phase, with little new capital flowing in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAltcoin market cap is stagnating,\u201d the analysts wrote in a Monday outlook. \u201cMovements in alts right now signal capital rotation rather than expansion.
