At the center of the chatter was venture capitalist <strong>Jon Isaac<\/strong>, who some outlets claimed had drawn regulators\u2019 attention due to his alleged involvement with the firm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the speculation, ALT5\u2019s shares fell <strong>10.5% on Tuesday to $10.48<\/strong>, before slipping even further in after-hours trading to <strong>$5.39<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ALT5 Responds: \u201cNo Investigation\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>ALT5 quickly issued a statement rejecting the reports. According to a <strong>December 2024 SEC filing<\/strong>, ALT5 entered into a <strong>two-year consulting agreement<\/strong> with Isaac starting in March 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under that deal, Isaac was expected to advise on <strong>growth strategy, restructuring, client acquisition, and product development<\/strong>, while providing weekly updates to management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The contract also included a <strong>$540,000 promissory note<\/strong>, which Isaac later converted along with accrued interest into <strong>465,753 ALT5 Sigma shares<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trump Family Ties Draw Scrutiny<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>ALT5\u2019s connections to the Trump family have only added fuel to the controversy. Following the August funding round, <strong>Eric Trump<\/strong> joined ALT5\u2019s board, while <strong>WLFI co-founder Zach Witkoff<\/strong> was appointed chairman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The arrangement left ALT5 holding about <strong>7.5% of WLFI\u2019s token supply<\/strong>, directly linking its balance sheet to the Trump family\u2019s crypto venture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This partnership has raised eyebrows in Washington.
