Not only has the token expanded to a new blockchain, but holders can now earn <strong>rewards simply by holding it<\/strong> making PYUSD more appealing than ever for users looking to earn passive yield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>PYUSD Now Live on Arbitrum<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In a recent update to its <strong>cryptocurrency terms and conditions<\/strong>, PayPal announced that PYUSD is now <strong>live on the Arbitrum network<\/strong>, joining <strong>Ethereum<\/strong> and <strong>Solana<\/strong> as supported blockchains. This expansion gives users more flexibility to use and move their stablecoins across faster and cheaper networks something that crypto users increasingly value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, Ethereum, Solana, and Arbitrum officially make up the <strong>\u201cPYUSD supported blockchains\u201d<\/strong>, giving the stablecoin broader reach within the crypto ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Earn Rewards by Simply Holding PYUSD<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>PayPal also introduced the <strong>PYUSD Rewards Program<\/strong>, allowing users to <strong>earn passive income<\/strong> just by holding <strong>at least 1.0 PYUSD<\/strong> in their <strong>Cryptocurrencies Hub<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here&#8217;s how it works:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Rewards are calculated daily based on your <strong>average PYUSD balance<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The reward rate is expressed as an <strong>annual percentage yield<\/strong> (APY) and is divided into <strong>daily accruals<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the beginning of each month (or within 30 days of month-start), PayPal will <strong>credit the earned PYUSD directly<\/strong> to your account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can opt out of the program at any time, but once you do, you\u2019ll stop receiving the rewards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Who\u2019s Eligible?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To take part, you\u2019ll need to meet a few basic conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You must have a <strong>Cryptocurrencies Hub account<\/strong> with a <strong>positive balance<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your account must be free of <strong>holds, restrictions, or limitations<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Business accounts<\/strong> are also eligible so long as they meet the same criteria.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Important Caveats to Know<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>PayPal was also clear about the legal side of things. While PYUSD is promoted and supported through PayPal, it&#8217;s <strong>issued by Paxos<\/strong>, meaning it follows <strong>Paxos&#8217; terms and conditions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PayPal also noted that it <strong>reserves the right to stop supporting PYUSD<\/strong> at any time. While they generally plan to give users advance notice, they are <strong>not obligated<\/strong> to do so. If support is discontinued, users will be required to <strong>sell or transfer their PYUSD<\/strong> to another wallet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cYou must sell or transfer to an external digital asset wallet any PYUSD token in your Cryptocurrencies Hub that PayPal has communicated it will no longer support,\u201d the firm stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Bottom Line<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>PayPal\u2019s stablecoin strategy just took a big step forward with the <strong>introduction of passive yield rewards<\/strong> and <strong>multi-chain availability<\/strong>.
